The customer can now sleep at night knowing the next time we get rain their lead valleys won’t leak.

Had a nice surprise when we found a couple of bats hiding under the ridge tiles but after doing what we were told by the bat experts we could carry on and finish.

It’s also great to get called back to a timber frame we erected to do further work.

This time it was the roof which is fitting due to a REBRAND of the business which is now called CS Carpentry and Roofing LTD

We used Britmet slates which are made out of recycled plastic so a great way to have a sustainable roof and house.

It’s been a pleasure to go back to this lovely Douglas fir structure we completed 12 months ago to give it some new love.

We re-sanded everything and then gave it two new coats of clear oil to make it look brand new again ready for the summer.

We have finally finished this sitting room renovation.

All new:
Plasterboard
Plaster
Floorboards
Windows
Coving
Skirting
Oak lintels
Slate cils
Slate hearth
Fire surround

A lot of work went in to make the walls structurally sound as well as rounding off the reveals and sorting a couple issues with the floor joists.

Thank you to Ian Pearn for the fire surround as it finishes the room off beautifully. Now time for the wood burner.

Was a pleasure replacing this beautiful old rag slate roof.
We stripped all the slates of and replaced majority of the timber leaving just the A frame supports and some purlins making the roof run nice and flat.

With the help of Andrew Bartlett and Robert Sargent to re slate using the existing slates and hidden lead hips.

Finished off with cast iron guttering.

We recently fixed the flashing to a velux window for this great couple as there roofers had let them down with this.
Took off some slates to find no very little to no overlap on the flashing. I forgot to take photos of it finished but it was all fixed using the correct overlaps and after several weeks is all dry so far.
