INSTALL OF THE WEEK.

This is our recent installment in Plymouth for a very happy customer. We installed a Atlas roof system along with 2 Aluna aluminium bifolding doors, 1 fixed aluminium window and a aluminum door with a full height side screen. This project really helped the customer to achieve more space and natural light to their living space. SGG Manufacturing Atlas Aluminium

During very hot weather, uPVC expands as temperatures rise. Even a small amount of expansion can make a door or window feel tighter within its frame, causing it to stick, catch, or become more difficult to open, close or lock.

If this happens, here's our advice:

✔️ Don't force the handle or the door, as this can put unnecessary strain on the locking mechanism.

✔️ If your door is catching, try gently lifting it as you operate the handle, taking the weight slightly towards the hinge side. This can sometimes help it engage more easily.

✔️ Open and close it gently rather than forcing it.

✔️ Once temperatures cool, the door or window will often return to normal as the uPVC contracts again.

If you're still experiencing problems after the hot weather has passed, it may just need a simple adjustment.
