Exciting progress today! 🚛 Another Bavenhill battery cabin is on the move, heading to a Lincolnshire poultry site for delivery this Monday.

By oversizing the solar system by 400% beyond the DNO limit, this project unlocks 4x the annual savings for our customer. Paired with a 516kWh expandable battery, the site will be able to use up to 95% of its own clean, self-generated energy 🌍⚡.

Our team has already installed 500kWp of solar on-site, now ready to connect with the battery system — keeping the project ahead of schedule and the farm on track for a greener, more efficient future! 💡🐓

Had a great handover meeting this week, for a new master - slave CHP setup. The clients team are an absolute pleasure to deal with.
With 100% heat integration the system provides electricity at sub £0.07 per kWh, with the arrival of man's gas later this year we could be as low as £0.02 per kWh!!
This provides an ROI of less than 3 years in the majority of cases!
This must be currently top of the list for new build poultry projects, especially when blended with Heat Pumps and batteries!!!
All packaged plant rooms are manufactured at our factory in Herefordshire.
The system has been seamlessly integrated into the existing secondary heating system, poultry ventilation and GSHP's using our in house trend controls.
We now log all site heat and electric meters and send monitoring data via API's to Bavenhill's insight platform to give a full picture of overall site performance and allow data analysis to a granular level.

Another Hybrid Battery and PV system recently installed and commissioned by the Bavenhill team, poised to harness the power of the sun!

The 815kWh Bavenhill Battery unit was constructed at our facility in Herefordshire, complete with integrated HVAC, fire suppression, and BMS monitoring.

This innovative battery system is configured with a DC coupled PV setup enabling the solar panels to operate at just over 250% of the allowable inverter capacity. As a result, we were able to install 972kWp of solar panels, with only 360kW of visible capacity to the grid, effectively addressing localized DNO grid limitations.

The site is currently running 80% self sufficiently and 90% self consumption!
See the battery charge in green, it is evident that with moderate sunlight, the site is successfully running off-grid for over 18 hours a day!

Another bespoke built solar/battery system up and running on a Herefordshire poultry farm today.
400kWp. solar, 387kWh battery all running through a 100kW bi-directional Hybrid inverter saving the customer in excess of 100k per annum!

Another busy week in the Bavenhill workshop, we're currently building the latest batch of our new hybrid battery cabins!

The systems have been designed to help overcome the DNO grid restrictions that we now see all too often!

By designing the solar and battery system to be a pure DC hybrid we have overcome the solar capacity constants, we can now allow oversize the DC system by up to 1000% relative to the AC permitted connection.

All systems are contructed field to fork in house with Mitsubishi HVAC and UK manufactured fire suppression systems. Remote monitoring and energy analysis app is included as standard.

In brief the systems currently in build are as follows:-

System 1 - 387kWh battery with a 100kW grid tied inverter with integrated PV combiner boxes to allow 420kWp of roof mounted solar.

System 2 - 840kWh battery with a 200kW grid tied inverter with integrated PV combiner boxes to allow 1120kWp of ground mounted solar.

System 3 - 258kWh battery with a 100kW grid tied inverter with integrated PV combiner boxes to allow 220kWp of roof mounted solar.

System 4 - 387kWh battery with a 200kW grid tied inverter with integrated PV combiner boxes to allow 525kWp of ground mounted solar.
