Three fitters, one stunning period property and years of glazing experience put to work 👏🏼
Our team were recently on site in Denholme, Bradford, where our customers were experiencing condensation caused by failed heritage glazed units within their existing timber frames.
For this job, we sent two of our highly experienced glazing specialists alongside our brilliant apprentice Aaron to carefully remove the failed units and replace them with new heritage glazing, while preserving the character of the original timber frames.
Jobs like this really do require experience. Period properties and timber frames need to be handled with care, precision and an understanding of how older glazing systems are constructed.
It’s also incredibly important to use the correct glazing compounds when installing double-glazed units into timber frames. We only use glazing compounds and sealants that have been rigorously tested to ensure they do not corrode or compromise the seals of our double-glazed units. 👍👍👍
The right materials and installation methods help protect the timber frames, maintain the character of the property and ensure the new glazed units perform as they should for years to come.
At Misted Windows, we specialise in much more than standard UPVC glazing. We regularly work with timber frames, period properties and heritage glazed units across West Yorkshire.
