Another fuse board upgrade completed by A.B Electrical ⚡

This one was a bit of a tricky one, with the existing cables being very short.

After carefully working with what was there, we replaced the old fuse board with a new consumer unit.

Not every board is straightforward, but with the right approach, you can still get a tidy result. 🔧⚡

We were called out first thing this morning to get a local fast food restaurant back up and running before they opened for the day. ⚡️

After quickly diagnosing the fault and carrying out the necessary repairs, they were able to open their doors with minimal disruption.

Another happy customer and another business back up and running. 👌

⚠️ An Electrician’s Worst Nightmare ⚠️

We’ve recently been receiving a high number of calls relating to faulty and outdated fuse boards, so we wanted to share a reminder about the importance of electrical safety.

This is a consumer unit we were recently called out to inspect. Situations like this highlight why regular checks and proper protection are so important.

As electricians, we strongly recommend ensuring your consumer unit is fitted with RCD protection. RCDs are designed to quickly disconnect the power when a fault is detected, helping to reduce the risk of electric shock and electrical fires.

If your fuse board is outdated, frequently tripping, showing signs of damage, or appears to be overheating, don’t ignore the warning signs. Arrange an inspection with a qualified electrician.

Another project coming together nicely! ⚡️

First-fix and second-fix electrical installation completed in this beautiful modern home, featuring:

Well, it’s been another busy week—and a very hot one, to say the least! ☀️🥵

Despite the heat, we powered through and got every job completed as planned. A big thank you to all our customers for keeping us busy.
