Following on from our restaurant proposal, the new leisure and facilities building forms the second major element of this wider redevelopment in Suffolk.

Drawing on the site’s former Second World War airfield, the building adopts a simple hangar-inspired architectural language, with dark metal cladding, large-format glazing and robust pitched forms utilising existing maintenance buildings.

Internally, the facility brings together a gym, café and social lounge, changing facilities and two indoor padel courts, while externally it connects directly with covered padel courts and MUGA, creating a consolidated leisure hub for the wider park.

We are delighted to have submitted planning for new hospitality and leisure facilities at a holiday park in Suffolk.

The site occupies a former Second World War airfield, and the architectural language draws directly from this history, taking inspiration from the Nissen huts, hangars and utilitarian structures that once occupied the site.

At the heart of the proposal is a 150-cover restaurant and bar, supported by a substantial commercial kitchen and opening onto landscaped external spaces to create a distinctive new hospitality destination for the wider park.

A simple palette of dark pre-aged metal, vertical timber cladding and large-format glazing reinforces the industrial character while keeping the architecture refined and contemporary.

More to follow soon. We’re looking forward to working with NANUgroup to bring the interiors and wider vision to life.

Following a positive pre-application process, we’re pleased to have submitted this transformation of an existing disjointed bungalow for full planning permission.

Set within the Wharfe Valley landscape area and the Green Belt, the project has required a carefully considered planning and design approach. Rather than simply extending the property, the proposals redistribute and rationalise the volume of the bungalow’s various historic additions to create one coherent home.

The result is a significantly more unified architectural composition, drawing on the local vernacular through stone, slate and simple gabled forms, while introducing a contemporary layer through glazing, detailing and the reworked internal arrangement.
A challenging site and planning context, but one that has allowed us to develop a much stronger architectural response.

We look forward to progressing the scheme.
