That doesn't stop us and our volumetric wagons though.

No matter the weather, concrete is mixed fresh on-site to spec, so every pour is exactly what it should be.

Screed pumped from the street straight into the room. No barrowing through the house.

5m³ of Gypsol Classic liquid screed for a new floor in Harrogate, mixed fresh on our new 26 plate volumetric wagon and pumped in at 40mm, where a sand and cement screed would have wanted 65 to 75mm.

We supplied the pump on the same order, so there was nothing to arrange separately and nothing to chase. One visit, one flat floor, ready for the covering.

There's an eclipse hiding in this photo. First one to spot it gets the glory.

Sienna caught the sun dropping last night, right at the peak of the deepest partial eclipse the UK's seen since 1999. Couldn't make it out properly at the time — but the lens flare picked up the crescent and parked it right on the wagon.

650m³ of foamed concrete. 50 loads. Six months on a live North Yorkshire carriageway.

Water service pipework replaced under a Yorkshire Water framework, trench backfilled with road foam that self compacts around the pipe. No plate compactor, no layered fill, no settlement to chase. The surfacing gang came back the next day and laid the wearing course straight over it.

Volumetric, batched at the kerb, discharged straight into the trench.
