Are you looking at building a new home or extending your existing in a conservation area?

Designing a new home within a Conservation Area can present a number of planning challenges if proposals fail to respond sensitively to the surrounding character. Common pitfalls include:

▪️ Poor scale and proportions that appear out of keeping
▪️ Inappropriate materials and overly dominant contemporary detailing
▪️ Loss of mature landscaping and trees
▪️ Unsympathetic roof forms, windows and boundary treatments
