If you've been paying attention then you might have spotted some new faces amongst our Sales team lately 👀

Introducing Grant Softley, our Technical Sales Manager covering Scotland and the North East 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Grant brings over 15 years of experience in ASM and TSM roles across the masonry sector, from brick manufacturing and cladding systems through to masonry support systems, meaning he knows the industry inside out!

In his role at ARC, Grant will be focusing on providing technical guidance and site training to developers, as well as connecting with customers across Scotland and the North East.

When we asked Grant what excites him most about joining ARC, he told us...

There's one detail that gets missed on almost every retrofit project... and it's costing tenants money, comfort and health!

The eaves junction.
Where the roof meets the wall. Where loft insulation stops short, wall insulation ends and a cold gap sits in between.

The old school 'fix' of stuffing mineral wool into the eaves doesn't work either. Blocking ventilation lofts need and creating a whole new set of problems.
..But, the ARC Retrofit Wall Plate Insulator solves the problem 🙌🏻

It ensures insulation is continuous over the wall plate and into the soffit, while maintaining the 10,000mm² ventilation area required by building regulations.

Proof that our products really do work! 🔥

A serious fire broke out on a construction site, but thanks to the correct installation of the ARC® Masonry Party Wall System, the fire was successfully contained to a single plot. It only breached into the neighbouring unit at the very last possible point of crossover.

According to the local fire brigade, the fire took over 3 hours to extinguish due to its severity, with crews battling it externally for the full duration.

This incident serves as a powerful demonstration of how ARC’s Masonry Party Wall System performs in real-world conditions.

Protecting people, protecting places, slowing fire spread, and delivering peace of mind.

Fortunately, the homes were still under construction, so no one had yet moved in. But it’s a clear reminder that fire protection starts at build stage, and it really does matter ❤️
