Make The Cleaner Choice! 🔥
Most headlines focus on the extremes. We agree with the destination of cleaner air but getting there is about how we reduce emissions at source. The practical route is already well-known: certified appliances, quality fuel, correct operation, and regular sweeping and servicing.
Our role during Clean Air Night is to bring this route into sharper focus – a constructive message that avoids polarisation and shows what is working right now.
The sector is continuing to evolve, and open fires are becoming a thing of the past as more households are looking for efficient ways to heat their homes with wood. Where open fires are still in use, we support a transition to a Cleaner Choice stove.
Instead of associating wood burning with “chucking some logs in a fireplace”, you need to think of a modern log burner like a car: it needs the right fuel, an annual MOT, safe operation, and a bit of TLC to work properly!
