This week we have another approval, this time for a scheme that transforms the existing property through the removal of the conservatory and the addition of a new side porch with feature entrance, a single-storey rear extension, a hip-to-gable roof extension and a new rear dormer with a Juliet balcony. The proposal also includes external rendering to provide a fresh, modern appearance to the bungalow.
A great example of how design can create additional living space, improve functionality and enhance the overall character of an existing home.

Planning permission has been granted for a new swimming pool at a private residence in North Leeds, creating a fantastic outdoor leisure space that complements both the property and its surroundings.

We’re delighted to announce that planning permission has been successfully granted for a two-storey side extension to this beautiful Victorian country residence dating back to the 1830’s in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The approved scheme removes single storey outbuildings and sensitively enhances the functionality of the property for modern day life while respecting the character, proportions, and architectural language of the original house.
The extension provides valuable additional accommodation with a new office space, utility areas and a bedroom suite over, allowing for a larger day-to-day living space within the existing house and the new required accommodation in the new wing

The scheme makes far better use of the existing space, providing an additional bedroom rather than underutilised storage.

Our second approval of the year has been achieved for the alteration and extensions of a bungalow in North Yorkshire. Situated in a sought-after area and within generous grounds, the proposal aims to enlarge the property to the front with a practical boot room, welcoming porch and an extension that opens up the hall and stairwell for improved flow and natural light. The alterations will also update the windows to a more contemporary grey finish, while enlarging the dormers to a more usable scale and refined design.

Our first planning approval of 2026 arrives as a contemporary single-storey rear extension to a semi‑detached home in North Leeds. The extension is
By opening up the kitchen and dining spaces to the surrounding gardens, the addition creates a brighter, more connected living space and includes a larger kitchen with central island, a cosy snug and a built-in window seats. This opens out onto a new patio area, providing a more private entertaining and dining space to the side, linked through a new pair of doors to the main dining area and to a relaxed patio area at the rear to take in those morning coffees.
