For some reason I only took three pictures of this project. Luckily the clients took two great ones and shared them with me. The clients wanted a paved area at the same height as the patio doors, with porcelain planks. Gravel paths were made around the perimeter of the lawn. The clients also wanted the bank behind the pond that was already there, built up with a waterfall added. Stones from around the garden were repurposed for this. It's a perfect spot for enjoying such a beautiful view.

I finished this project a few months ago. The client wanted the old stone wall taken down and rebuilt. We used the stone that was dug out of the ground and built a new wall and made it higher for some extra privacy. All new Indian Stone paving was laid with an L shaped brick raised bed for planting. At the front the existing trellis and shrubbery were removed and a brick wall was built to provide privacy and security. New gates were fitted and an Oak porch kit built over the front door.

I finished this project last week. The clients wanted a seating area at the top corner of the garden. Because it's sloped it had to be dug out and a timber sleeper retaining wall put in. The clients also wanted more flowers and trees, so I used the boundary around the fence for planting. Due to the ground conditions being sand/gravel I planted Photinia Pink Marble and Red Robin trees, Buddleia, a Pear tree and Cherry tree. Several varieties of perennials were also planted. Everedge was used all the borders and topped with mulch. The bottom patio and has planted with blue and white lavender. The clients are very happy with the result and so am I.

I finished this project quite awhile ago and am just getting round to sharing the photos. The clients wanted an area in the corner of the garden that they could use to entertain and enjoy. The bank dropped down so I retained it, filled it in and replaced the fence. I laid a new patio area which extended down the side of the house. Raised beds were built, a new gate put in and new flower beds were fully planted up and constructed with existing oak logs from an oak tree that was felled from the front of the property.

I finished this project in January when the weather was wet & grey, as it often is when I finish projects and my pictures reflect that. Luckily, my clients are excellent photographers and sent me some great photos taken in much better weather. The clients wanted to utilize what was an unused, sloped part of the garden for a seating area and a summer house they were having built. I raised the ground using gabion baskets which allowed me to level the area for the patio. I used local stone to retain the bank, create a retaining wall and a pond. The client's asked for the concrete panelling lining the drive to be clad in the same stone, which I also planted with some alpines. The summer house and planting was completed by the clients. It's all come together quite nicely and makes for a beautiful new spot in the garden to enjoy.

Its been a busy year and very challenging with the weather. I've fallen far behind in posting photos of finished work, so I will try and catch up. Facebook business has changed the way it works, so its very easy to miss messages if you send them through this page. Please email directly at [email protected] or ring me at 07772 242249. If I don't answer, I'm very often working in a location with a bad signal, so just leave me a message and I will get back to you.

I finished this project recently. It started with an awkwardly sloped grassy bank that was difficult to maintain and to access the rear hedge. The clients wanted a garden that was low maintenance, with easy access and user-friendly. We decided to negate the slope of the bank by building a dry stone retaining wall. This allowed for different levels and the inclusion of a water feature. The first level is a gravel garden for low maintenance shrubs, alpines and heathers. The second level is a new grass path allowing access to either end, edged with vertical timber sleepers. Japanese maples, Rhododendrons, 2 Magnolia trees, Mock Orange, California Lilacs, Ornamental Cherry, Crap Apple and Honeysuckle were planted along the bank and on the first level. After the rains stopped, I came back and aerated, re-seeded and fertilized the lawn. The clients are delighted with the results.

I finished this project in the spring. The clients wanted a new, low maintenance garden without a lawn, some small planting sections and a couple of seating areas. For the first seating area I built a timber pergola and covered the top and back for privacy with cedar slats. The flooring is Balau hardwood decking. We choose to highlight this area with large terracotta pots and planted a Rhododendron, a Japanese Maple and a Flowering Mounted Dogwood. The second seating area is smaller and really gets the afternoon sun. This is laid with Symphony Copper Porcelain paving.
Going through the gates, the patio is laid with Symphony Cherry planks. The flower beds are made with Everedge lawn edgings that will weather into a rust colour that will compliment the Copper colour in the paving. The flowerbeds were filled with Lavender, Catmint, Grasses, Alliums, Hosta, Foxgloves, Verbena Bonariensis. Smaller terracotta pots were filled with Climbing Hydrangea, Honeysuckle, Agapanthus and Clematis. The rest of the area is filled in with Moonstone Gravel. The clients were very happy with the result and so am I.

I finished this project in March and the clients sent me some recent pictures showing the garden looking stunning. They wanted all the grass removed, a patio and seating area and a stepping stone path surrounded by plum slate. The patio and stepping path is made with Marshall's Corradeo porcelain planks. The original flower beds were widened and planted with lupins, alliums, delphiniums, lavatera, alpines, agastache, viburnum, philadelphus and ceanothus. After planting up so early in the season, it's wonderful to see everything in bloom.

I'm pretty far behind posting about projects, so here is one I finished right before the big heatwave. The clients had a sizeable blank canvas that was prone to flooding so land drains were installed and some new fencing. The clients wanted a patio with steps to the back doors and another patio area at the far end of the garden with a pergola and fresh turf. Flower borders were constructed on both sides, with a feature stone curved wall containing Japanese Maple trees, an apple tree, pear tree, Mountain Dogwood tree, hydrangea and several assorted perennials and herbs. The clients were a delight to work with and we're all very pleased with the result.

I finished this project a few weeks ago. The clients wanted the ground leveled off and a paved, seating area in one corner. The other corner is prepared for a play area with rubber chippings. Land drains were installed under the new turf. Marshalls Indian Stone grey pavings were used around the edge of the property and seating area, with Indian sandstone setts. Some old fencing and a hedge were removed and new fencing put in. Timber sleeper edging and beds ready for planting. The clients were very pleased with the results and so am I.

This project was finished recently. The clients wanted a new dry stone wall built by the house to shield the new patio and decking area from the wind. A new patio was laid with Yorkstone paving and oak wood was used for the decking. A fantastic new seating area to enjoy the beautiful views.
