Its been a busy year and very challenging with the weather. I've fallen far behind in posting photos of finished work, so I will try and catch up. Facebook business has changed the way it works, so its very easy to miss messages if you send them through this page. Please email directly at [email protected] or ring me at 07772 242249. If I don't answer, I'm very often working in a location with a bad signal, so just leave me a message and I will get back to you.
I finished this project recently. It started with an awkwardly sloped grassy bank that was difficult to maintain and to access the rear hedge. The clients wanted a garden that was low maintenance, with easy access and user-friendly. We decided to negate the slope of the bank by building a dry stone retaining wall. This allowed for different levels and the inclusion of a water feature. The first level is a gravel garden for low maintenance shrubs, alpines and heathers. The second level is a new grass path allowing access to either end, edged with vertical timber sleepers. Japanese maples, Rhododendrons, 2 Magnolia trees, Mock Orange, California Lilacs, Ornamental Cherry, Crap Apple and Honeysuckle were planted along the bank and on the first level. After the rains stopped, I came back and aerated, re-seeded and fertilized the lawn. The clients are delighted with the results.
