Polite reminder for anyone that needs work doing around gas.
Please ensure that you use a Gas Safe registered engineer. All of which will have their own personal registration number that can be requested and checked.
There are far too many people out there that will have the work carried out by someone who is not Gas Safe, just because it's cheap. This is puitting you in danger and that will not hold any kind of public liability insurance.
Stay safe everyone.

A Quck reminder in this cold weather we are all getting at the moment, and if you are experiencing problems with any of the below heating sources not working properly, then please message or give us a call on 07940 770825

To heat your home during freezing conditions, you can:

Set your thermostat: Set your thermostat to a comfortable temperature, between 18–21°C. You can also use the frost protection setting on your boiler.

Keep rooms warm: Heat rooms you use often, like the bedroom and living room.

Reduce drafts: Use draft excluders around doors.

Open doors and hatches: Open doors between rooms to circulate warm air. You can also open the hatch to your loft to allow warm air to rise.

Insulate pipes: Insulate pipes in colder areas of your home, like basements, garages, and unused lofts. You can also cover bends, valves, and fittings.

Insulate water tanks: Insulate water tanks in colder areas of your home.

Check your boiler pressure: The ideal pressure is between 1–1.5 bar when the boiler is off and 2 bar when on.

Check your plumbing: Check your plumbing each morning to make sure nothing is frozen.

If your boiler stops working, you can try:

Checking your boiler pressure

Topping up the water

Staying in the warmest room of the house

Closing the curtains

Wrapping yourself up in extra layers

Using an electric heater

Drinking lots of warm drinks
