🔹 Back to Cornwall for another CPD session!

Chris Ward was back with the team at Method Consulting last month, delivering our CIBSE-approved coil heat exchangers CPD. We first visited a few years ago for our radiant panels CPD session, so it's brilliant to see the relationship continue!

The team learnt about:
✅ How coils transfer heat to and from an airstream
✅ Heat transfer fluid options
✅ Key considerations for performance and efficiency

And a special mention for Method Consulting's office, where surf boards greet you in the entrance rather than bicycles. No surprise really, they're a five minute walk from the beach!

Fuelling the fun at BSS Plymouth's corporate karting day! 🏎️🍕

We headed to St Eval Kart Circuit in Cornwall to support BSS Plymouth alongside fellow manufacturers and Geberit. While the karts were flying round the track, we kept things running with pizza for the team from Totus Engineering, a fantastic installer partner we've worked with on several projects over the years!

50 years at SPC! 🎉🎉

Last week, Terry Johnstone, our Operations and Manufacturing Co-ordinator, celebrated an incredible half-century with the SPC team, and we couldn't resist a surprise get-together to mark it!

Terry keeps our deliveries running like clockwork and has done so since he joined straight from school, just weeks after SPC was founded!

He got the job back in 1976 after his dad spotted the advert in the local paper, and even worked as a nightclub bar manager in Leicester along the way!

A lot has changed since August 1976...
James Callaghan was Prime Minister, the UK was in the grip of that year's record-breaking heatwave, and Elton John and Kiki Dee were topping the charts with "Don't Go Breaking My Heart."

A keen sports fan who never misses the football or rugby, Terry's been a constant part of the SPC story through it all, and his knowledge and long service are something the whole team has come to rely on.

Huge congratulations, Terry, from all of us at SPC. Here's to 50 amazing years! 🥳

🔧 Back in Plymouth for round three!

Chris Ward and our Group Sales and Marketing Director, Jeremy Davies, headed back to H***e Lea's Plymouth office last week for our CIBSE-approved Coil Heat Exchangers CPD!

It's fantastic to see this relationship keep growing, having already delivered our Decarbonisation and Radiant Heating & Cooling Panels CPDs to the team.

Mini golf, pizza and great company! 🏌️‍♂️🍕

Our South West ASM hosted a brilliant social evening with colleagues from Services Design Solution Exeter and Plymouth at Boom Battle Bar. Big thanks to Chris Ward for organising a great night out!

Emergency services heating, done right 🚒

Dorking Fire Station in Surrey (Surrey Fire and Rescue Service) has had a heating upgrade, with SPC supplying Belgravia Classic fan convectors specified for the site alongside mechanical contractor Johnson Controls.

🔹 Floor-mounted BEL60, BEL90 and BEL40 units, each on a plinth for a clean, tidy install
🔹 Low water flow heat exchangers suited to the site's 45/35°C system
🔹 ECM motors throughout for efficient, quiet running
🔹 Built-in on-off and speed control thermostats at every unit, no extra wall controllers needed

Manufactured at our Leicester facility, Belgravia Classic fan convectors are a familiar choice across schools, healthcare and public sector buildings, and this project shows they're just as at home in a working fire station.
