On a previous visit to this customer was an emergency leak a cold mains pipe had burst and with no access to his stop tap and then once the backboard was ripped out to gain access the stop tap was incredibly stiff, this prompted some advice regarding a Sure Stop was installed.
The customer had no hesitation and wanted one installed after explaining the ease of shutting your cold mains off with a simple accessible switch as pictured with an added back up switch on the cold mains pipe which will be made accessible once a new back board has been put in.
These Sure Stop taps are a great addition to any property, and especially to elderly residents who would struggle getting to any stop tap let alone a seized up one. Also a great idea for when leaving the house for a holiday simply switch it off and have peice of mind.

Just to add, this requires no power what soever it works as a pressure switch, a small amount of water is taken from the mains creating a pressure switch.
