Good morning 😊 Now the website is up & running I thought I’d play a little game (to be honest after a few weeks of it not running, we need the traffic for our Google presence). Soooo, I’ve made an obvious spelling mistake on the website: Clue- It’s not on the “Privacy Policy” or “Gallery” pages.
First to comment the correct answer gets a box of chocs - Deb 😊

Praise the Gods 🙌🏼 after a long battle over domains & trying to add some legal requirements, our website is finally up & running 😅 to say this has stressed me out is a slight understatement 🤣 We once again look like the professionals we are 😉 Have a great week everyone- Deb 😊

A month ago we saw a spotted post where a gent was explaining how his vulnerable, elderly neighbour had been approached by rogue roofers!
They had knocked her door & told her she had 3 “tiles” that were missing and offered to replace them at an extortionate cost. Luckily for her, her neighbour stepped in.
In truth, these “roofers” had removed the ridge tiles before knocking her door!
We weren’t having that! Between our other jobs we sent our man, Dave to help her out. We didn’t charge her a penny, it didn’t take long & we had the materials on hand (good job as we were only made aware after we’d said we’d help, not long before we were to attend that they were ridge tiles 😅). All we asked for in return was a Google review. Unfortunately that never transpired so now we’re left to blow our own trumpet 🤣 Here’s a pic of her re-set ridge tiles 😊

Please be aware that there are rogue traders working around the Leicestershire villages.
How they operate:
They knock on your door to offer to clean out your guttering at a really reasonable price.
If you’re not a vulnerable adult you get a good deal! If you are a vulnerable or elderly home owner they will remove several tiles & tell you you need roofing works doing! If you agree the cost will be high, if you don’t agree, they leave with your roofing tiles!

This is what happens when people don’t hire companies that are licensed waste carriers! Yes, that is an Asbestos roof, just up the road from our home! Yes, a company does require a Licence, an HSE, to dispose of Asbestos! Yes, customers sometimes balk at the costs involved but these are cost that we have to pay for clean, safe disposal. Unfortunately this is the alternative 😩 It is highly recommended to use a company that either holds a licence themselves or use contracted licensed professionals. Licensed companies are searchable through the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) or the HSE register.

Throw back Thursday! Thinking back to when we had the pleasure of working on our local heritage site, Old John at Bradgate Park. We couldn’t get our van any nearer and had a ranger taxi to the Folly.

It seems like forever since we last posted. With all the rain we’ve experienced we’ve had to make a lot of hay whilst blessed with the sunshine ☀️🤞🏼 it lasts! Here’s a lovely before & after of a very happy homeowners smart cladding & flat roof job we’ve completed.
