There’s a reason we remove sockets and switches before plastering.
Plastering around them might save a few minutes, but it can leave you with uneven edges, poor lines and a finish that simply doesn’t look right.
On this job, I’ve actually been brought in to correct work completed by a previous plasterer — and this is a perfect example of what can happen when the small details are overlooked.
Taking sockets and switches off properly allows us to plaster cleanly behind them and leave everything straight, neat and perpendicular when they’re refitted.
It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference to the finished result.
At Lockyer Plastering, we care about the details because the finish matters.
