Martin Cook Electrical Services Ltd, a family run electrical contracting business located in Bedfordshire is employing, we are looking for a motivated individual to join our existing team due to recent new contracts won.
This role will be permanent part -time basis and attract a competitive salary, according to experience. You will be employed, and the hours required are Tuesdays and Fridays 9am to 5pm (16 hrs per week) – there is flexibility.
Martin Cook Electrical strive to provide an extremely high standard of work to our clients and would expect this candidate to reflect our core values.
The role will include supporting the existing admin team and our clients at our premises. The person would have experience of working in an office environment, experience of Microsoft outlook, Word and Excel.
You must be able to demonstrate the following:
Work as part of a team.
Computer literate
Confidence to talk on the phone at all levels.

The office is based in a remote location in Liscombe Business Park, Soulbury, LU7 0JL with no local transport. A candidate that has their own transport would be preferable.

Martin Cook Electrical Services Ltd is looking for a skilled, motivated electrician to join our team! We’re a family-run business based in Bedfordshire, and we need an extra pair of hands to keep up with new contracts and our growing workload.

Salary & Benefits:

£45,000 basic salary – OTE £58,000 with overtime
Overtime available at enhanced rates (some weekends required)

25 days holiday + bank holidays

£200/day minimum + expenses & travel time

Must have own vehicle & tools
You’ll be working within a 50-mile radius of Leighton Buzzard (sometimes further), mainly in commercial buildings, data centres, retail, education & medical environments.

What We’re Looking For:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) & 18th Edition regs
JIB Gold Card & CG 2391 (preferred)
Experience with commercial installs, EICRs, emergency lighting, compliance, maintenance & testing
Full UK driving license
Confident using Microsoft Office

Well we didn't expect this when carrying out a job survey! After lifting a tile to check viable cable routes, we were greeted with this nasty bit of work!

Client informed immediately, and a shutdown was arranged to rectify this issue. We also recommended an EICR to be carried out as a matter or urgency.
