This 32amp Electric charger is no bigger than an IPad! Sometimes it’s not possible to run a cable from the fuse board to an outside wall for a car charger. On this occasion we opted for an IP65 consumer unit (waterproof) next to the meter box to power up this EV charger.

That’s another project completed with a very happy customer

This project started as a regular rectangle room with a boring center light over the table and off white walls!

This transformation looks amazing. If you are thinking about redecorating a specific room, maybe consider how lighting can give your project the wow factor 💡

Please feel free to call with any future electrical requirements

This understairs cupboard looked a bit chaotic with several fuse boards! Not to mention the solar PV had been dangerously installed!

The customer also had occasional nuisance tripping with so much power loaded on one inline RCD unit.

After reconfiguring the wiring and making everything safe, all circuits were installed into one fuse board, fully protected with RCBO’s and surge protection.

This installation is now manageable for the customer as the electrics are all in one fuse board, and being clearly labeled it has put the customer at ease.

If you have an older style fuse board and you want to upgrade to a safe and manageable system, please get in touch for a chat. Steve.

***Thought for the day***

Why should we try and pay with cash instead of bank card? I appreciate it costs businesses to pay cash into the bank, however with more places only accepting cards, I do think a cashless society isn’t necessarily the way forward, when times are hard for a lot of people the only people still getting rich are the banks…..

What do you think?

*******************************************
Copied and Pasted -

- I have a £50 banknote in my pocket. I go to a restaurant and pay for dinner with it. The restaurant owner then uses the note to pay for the laundry. The laundry owner then uses the note to pay the barber. The barber will then use the note for shopping. After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a £50, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made..

- But if I come to a restaurant and pay for dinner digitally - Card bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around £1.50 and so the fee will be £1.50 for each further payment transaction or owner re laundry or payments of the owner of the laundry shop, or payments of the barber etc..... Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial £50 will remain only £5 and the remaining £45 became the property of the bank thanks to all digital transactions and fees.
👍😉👊

PS: it’s now 4 months since I used my card and I love it. More human interactions, more questions, more conversations about why cash needs to be everyone’s priority. No one needs to know where I shop, how much I spend and what I buy 🤷🏻‍♀️. I am not okay with a digital currency - no way 🚫

I also do smaller jobs!

One of my jobs this week was to install an inline bathroom fan. Another couple of electricians also looked at this job but turned it down because the loft is so small, there wasn’t enough space to get past the water tank to core a 4” hole out of the wall.

Having the right experience and tools to do the job allowed me to complete this work without any difficulty.

As you can see from the pictures I have installed a high velocity inline fan which extracts 250m/3 per hour.

I have also use inslulated ducting which will stop condensation pooling in the pipe. In my experience I’ve seen people use the cheap standard ducting which can become problematic in winter months when it fills up with water.

This job only required a minor electrical works certificate upon completion.

Please feel free to call me for any of your electrical requirements, from design through to install
