A PROJECT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

For almost a year, behind the scaffold and temporary roof covering in the historic village of Bramber, an extraordinary conservation story has been unfolding. Little St Mary’s, a remarkable timber-framed building with origins dating back more than 500 years, has demanded exceptional levels of craftsmanship, engineering and conservation expertise. What began as a programme of repairs evolved into a highly complex restoration as hidden structural failures and centuries of alterations were uncovered.

410 years of history… and we’re nearly there.

After months of restoring this incredible cottage with the care and craftsmanship it deserves, we’re finally entering the finishing stages.

Watching a building that’s stood for over four centuries come back to life has been something special.

But while one chapter is coming to an end… another is just beginning.

We’re excited to announce that alongside Green Structural Solutions and Green Heritage & Conservation Specialists, we have now launched Green Living Property Holdings.

Our beautiful heritage restoration is now entering the final month and everything is starting to come together. Bespoke heritage windows installed, bathrooms taking shape, traditional materials throughout and centuries of character being carefully preserved every step of the way.

So proud of the whole team and incredibly grateful to our amazing client for trusting us with this special 410 year old home. The finish line is finally in sight 🌿

From first fix to fine finish, this heritage bathroom restoration is coming together beautifully. Traditional character is being carefully preserved while all new plumbing, bespoke tiling, lime plaster finishes, and period-sensitive detailing transform the space into something truly special. Every stage is a balance of craftsmanship and conservation, ensuring this 410-year-old property keeps its soul while embracing modern comfort. 410 years in the making… and entering its next chapter.

This beautiful period cottage is really starting to come back to life following an extensive restoration.

A full re-roof has been completed, including structural works and new oak purlins, carefully installed to respect the original character of the building. Alongside this, the property has been fully upgraded with new electrical and plumbing systems, as well as underfloor heating throughout.

The existing flint stone walls have been meticulously restored and finished using traditional materials , allowing the building to breathe as it was always intended to.

Every stage of this project has been about balancing heritage with longevity — preserving what’s stood for centuries while quietly strengthening it for the future.

More carpentry/joinery over the next few weeks will take another big step forward as our Director, Parviz, begins crafting a bespoke rustic kitchen, made entirely by hand to suit the character of the cottage.
