Do you have damp walls or condensation in your home or property? Almost half the homes in the UK have poorly or wrongly fitted cavity wall insulation.

If there are cold spots in your walls then condensation will gather and mould will form. This not only has a negative effect on the property but also on your health. If thatโ€™s not reason enough to remove it, then remember you probably had it insta

lled to save money on your fuel bills. If your cavity wall insulation has become damp (even just 1%) it will have lost its insulation effect and will no longer be saving you money. A cavity is there for a reason. Its purpose is to stop the transfer of moisture from the external skin of the property to the internal skin. In simple terms, air in the cavity allows moisture to evaporate before it settles on a surface. Here at Cavity Extraction Ltd. we provide a specialist cavity wall insulation extraction service. We use the very latest techniques to extract the damp and wet insulation material. All our employees are DBS checked and are CSCS card holders. As a business our staff are experienced, qualified and educated in understanding the problems that poorly or incorrectly installed cavity wall insulation create in your property.

Damian from Cavity Extraction is in St Helens today tackling a slightly different type of cavity wall problem โ€” removing years of hidden debris and construction rubble from inside a propertyโ€™s cavity wall.

Unlike our usual cavity wall insulation removals, this property was suffering from damp caused by a build-up of debris left behind by previous contractors after roofing and window works. Over time, rubble had accumulated at the base of the cavity, bridging moisture and contributing to damp issues inside the home.

In this video, we cover:
โœ… How cavity wall debris can cause damp problems
โœ… Why leftover rubble from roof and window work is a hidden issue
โœ… How cavity cleaning helps restore your property
โœ… Repointing problems and poor workmanship explained
โœ… How moisture damage can blow pointing over time

Our team has cleaned out the cavity and will also be carrying out remedial repointing work to help protect the property moving forward.

If youโ€™re dealing with damp, cavity wall debris, or suspect problems inside your cavity walls, weโ€™re here to help.
