Always designing and building with an eye on sustainability and in this case reducing costs aswell. Cement crusher on site, munching its way through the remains of an old terrace!

Whilst the most sustainable of designs tend to be those that keep earth movement to a minimum, its not always possible, as in this case.

So when faced with a near 'monolithic' old garden terrace, in a state of disrepair and in desperate need of reducing, replacing and softening, the sustainable choice was to crush the waste on site, turning it into hardcore to use back in the build.

For the past three weeks our very understanding clients have had to put up with their site build going on hold, while Mike became part of the Landform team building The Savills Garden, on main avenue, at Chelsea Flower Show.

This week saw us treating them to a day out at the show, as a thank you. Here they are on The RSPCA Garden designed beautifully by Wilson Associates Garden Design , where we were very kindly shown around by the lovely Jane Bellinger .
