The Met Office has issued a further wet weather warning with thunderstorms as the Anglia region suffered five times the normal rainfall last week.

The main reason that buildings deteriorate is because they are affected by water. It is key to the preservation and maintenance of all buildings that they remain as watertight as possible.

Any defect allowing water to ingress into the fabric of a building must be treated, and further entry of water must be prevented.

Contact Acorn Preservation Co for assistance.

Always ensure your roof covering and gutters are in a good serviceable condition.

Overflowing guttering can damage bricks and mortar to your property. It can also seep through the bricks causing damage to your internal plasterwork and decoration.

It is important to regularly clear any vegetation from the guttering, and inspect the various joints and brackets to make sure they are not leaking.

If you have an issue your would like us to inspect, call our office to arrange your FREE survey!
