🚗 ⚡️ Not all EV charger installs are the same…

We’ve recently installed a range of smart home EV chargers, including Hypervolt, BG Sync and MyEnergi Zappi Glo units.

Each property is entirely different, so the installation needs to be designed properly. Things like cable route, load management, earthing arrangements, consumer unit setup and charger location all matter.

Where the existing consumer unit is fairly modern and suitable, the EV charger can often be connected from there. On other installs, a dedicated mini EV distribution board may be the better option, helping keep the charger circuit separate and correctly protected meeting current regulations.

Installing a 3-phase back up Gateway at an educational facility just outside of Lincoln.

It will allow them to go off-grid with full UPS back up, as well as getting rid of their diesel generator! 💨

More work to come here, including solar and EV charge points funded through the Workplace Charging Grant 👌
