Coffee with a view? ☕🌿

We're back at 25B Southgate in Sleaford, this time looking at the external areas.

One of the highlights will be the new riverside patio, creating a fantastic spot to enjoy a coffee overlooking the River Slea. Or a matcha… that's what my wife calls coffee shops these days!

There's plenty of detail going into the landscaping too, including permeable resin-bound gravel, sandstone setts, Corten steel edging, new planting with feature lighting to bring the whole area together.

Still plenty to do, but it's going to be a great addition to the heart of Sleaford.

Not a bad place to have an office… right in the heart of Sleaford 👀

Another quick walk around our 25B Southgate project, this time taking a look at the first-floor office space.

With just six weeks remaining, the pace on site is really picking up. Plastering is being completed and over the coming weeks we'll see this space change significantly as we push towards completion.

Once finished, the first floor will provide two large office spaces, its own kitchen and toilets, along with parking – all right in the centre of Sleaford.

North Kesteven District Council will be marketing the offices once the project is complete, and I think they'll make a fantastic base for the right business.

Six weeks to go… plenty still to do! 👷‍♂️

The most desirable toilet in Sleaford? 🚽😂

It certainly has one of the best views…

A quick walk around our 25B Southgate project for North Kesteven District Council as we head into the final six weeks.

The building is really starting to take shape now, with the new public conveniences and Changing Places facility, café space and first-floor workspace all progressing well.

Still plenty to do before we hand over, but great to see it all coming together.

This one feels a bit like going back to my roots… 👷‍♂️

We’ve recently started shell works to the former Homebase unit in Sleaford, preparing the building for a new retailer.

Our works include a full internal strip-out back to the shell, removal of the existing fixtures and services, external alterations and making good, along with refurbishment works to the roof and cladding — essentially getting the building ready for its next chapter.

This one is particularly good to be involved with personally.

Before starting Build Manager, I spent a number of years delivering similar retail projects as a Contracts Manager, so I’m looking forward to bringing that experience into our own business and delivering this one with the Build Manager team.

This is probably the slowest drainage install you’ll ever see…

Normally, this work would be completed with an excavator in no time. But on our 25B Southgate project in Sleaford for NKDC, that’s simply not an option.

The new drainage runs through a Root Protection Area and an archaeologically sensitive area, meaning every metre has to be carefully hand dug under the watchful eye of the project’s arboriculturist and archaeologist.

Add in 34°C temperatures during the UK’s recent heatwave, and it’s fair to say our team earned their keep on this one!

It’s a great example of the challenges that often sit behind the scenes on construction projects—and why doing the job properly sometimes means taking the slower route.

Three weeks in, and it's great to see real progress taking shape at our 25B Southgate project in the heart of Sleaford.

We're proud to be working with North Kesteven District Council to deliver this important community scheme, including a fully accredited Changing Places facility, new public conveniences and improvements to the surrounding public space.

A fantastic day at Elsham Golf Club supporting the Lindsey Lodge Charity Golf Day ⛳💛☀️

Build Manager was proud to be the Headline Sponsor for this year’s event, which brought together an incredible 160 golfers in support of an amazing local cause.

A huge thank you to the Lindsey Lodge Hospice team for delivering such a well-organised and enjoyable day. The effort that goes into events like this is clear to see, and it’s always great to support the vital work the hospice does for our community.

We were also delighted to sponsor the Nearest the Pin competition, with a £250 drill set up for grabs 🏌️‍♂️🎯
