🚧 Another Milestone Reached at Saxilby 🚧

A big step forward at our Saxilby project today. The cavity has now been filled with lean mix, with hardcore and sand blinding installed and prepared for the final compaction. Next up, we’ll be laying the 1200-gauge DPM, ready for the concrete pour on Friday.

This stage hasn’t come without its challenges. After a significant amount of hand digging and additional groundwork, we’re pleased to finally have everything out of the ground and moving into the build phase.

Great to see the hard work paying off, and we’re looking forward to pushing on towards wall plate level in the coming weeks.

Saxilby is now up to DPC level and making great progress! 💪

After various unforeseen delays, we’re finally getting out of the ground and moving forward. It’s been a challenging journey both physically and mentally, but we’ve pushed through and got there. 👊

The next stage is underway with drainage works being completed, bottle gullies connected, and backfilling carried out in preparation for the hardcore base.

Once that’s in place, we’ll be ready for the oversite concrete pour on Friday. Another key milestone achieved, and the build is really starting to take shape! 🏗️🚧

Today’s project involved taking down and rebuilding a chimney after we found the existing stack was leaning over 120mm across a 6ft height. With safety as the top priority, the best solution was a full rebuild using the original bricks to maintain its character and appearance.

Now it’s straight, secure, and ready for our clients to have their new burner installed! 🔥

It was a beautiful sunny day to be working, made even better by the peaceful countryside views surrounding the property. A satisfying transformation and another happy customer! 👌
