Monday morning started with a challenge on site! 💦🚧

With Building Control due to arrive, we had a time-sensitive situation on our hands — shin-deep water needing to be cleared before progress could continue.

Thanks to the right equipment and a quick response, the submersible pump was straight into action and got the job back on track. 💪

Another problem solved, another step closer to completion. 🔨

Pea gravel was quickly and efficiently tipped using our 8x5 tipping trailer 👌

This setup allows us to unload materials safely and in a fraction of the time compared to manual handling methods.

Not every day goes exactly to plan, and today was certainly one of those days.

We had a slower day than expected at one of our Lincoln projects, while also preparing for another project starting in July and working through some design changes on our Saxilby development.

At our Lincoln project, we’ve had to excavate deeper than originally planned — both by machine and by hand — to get to the required levels. We’re now awaiting a Building Control visit on Monday morning to confirm whether the ground conditions are suitable for the next stage of works.

It’s been a challenging process, but progress is progress — whether it’s big steps forward or small ones. Every stage gets us closer to the end goal.

Now it’s time to enjoy a Father’s Day weekend before getting back at it on Monday. Fingers crossed for some positive news!

A huge thank you to our Saxilby team for their continued hard work in pushing on and getting the brickwork up to roof level — your effort and commitment don’t go unnoticed. 👏🏗️

Drainage excavation well underway alongside our Anglian Water Build Over Agreement works! 💪🚧 This project has definitely thrown a few challenges our way, from navigating complex drainage layouts to battling through heavy clay ground conditions. Every stage requires careful planning, precision, and problem-solving to keep everything moving safely and efficiently. 🔍👷‍♂️

Not every job is straightforward, but that’s what makes construction interesting. When unexpected ground conditions and complicated drainage systems appear, it’s all about adapting, finding solutions, and pushing through to get the job done right.
