Mega job in a lovely old stone house that I’ve been doing in stages. Not finished but thought I’d post some pics of the progress.
Removed the old oil boiler that heated the main house. Removed an old gas boiler that heated the pool and another wing of the house and consolidated the original system.
New Vaillant gas boiler fitted in the pool plant room hooked up to 9x heating circuits 😱
Weather compensation and VRC700 controls.
-Mixed upstairs radiators main house
-Mixed downstairs radiators main house
-Thermal store which is also heated by the aga
-unvented cylinder for the new pool changing room and extension
-mixed underfloor heating for the extension
-mixed underfloor heating poolside area
-direct radiator circuit other wing of house
-direct pool heat exchanger circuit
-direct circuit for the pool air handling unit.

Friday’s job was a Worcester heatslave swap.Fixed some naughty’s from the previous install.Still my favourite boiler.

I had a jolly (training) arranged for today at EOGB on their Sapphire modulating Oil boiler.

I Have to say that I’m very impressed !

It’s the boiler that the oil industry needed.

6-32kw Modulation 😱

Modulation is crucial to increased efficiency.

Opentherm control is unique to this oil boiler.

HVO compatible out of the box (this is the future of liquid fuel heating)

Leaking, old and oversized. But enough about me. Swapped this old oil boiler for a new one the other day. Worcester Danesmoor 25/32 Matched the heating load to reduce cycling and increased the size of the circulation pump.

Installed a new boiler and added a few little trinkets to make it all a bit nicer. Great original system. Underfloor heating upstairs and downstairs via weather compensated 4 port mixer valves and kanmor controllers.
