Also upgraded the controls with a new Worcester Comfort II RF controller for added efficiency.

Did you know there is Government help for the transition to low carbon heating technologies?

As an MCS and OFGEM registered heating company we can offer Boiler Upgrade Sceme grants of £7500 towards the cost of installing air source heat pumps. There is also currently 0% VAT on renewable technologies until 2027.

Whilst heat pumps may not be suitable for every property or situation, most properties can benefit from heat pumps and upgrading of systems, whether that’s transitioning from off grid supplies (oil, LPG, electric), as part of renovating a property or after installation of solar PV panels or batteries.

A recent installation of a Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5Kw air source heat pump along with a Mitsubishi 210 litre pre-plumbed unvented hot water cylinder.
This replaces a gas combi boiler and makes the most of the solar PV panels and battery system recently fitted at the property.

Replacing individual electric storage heaters and electric hot water cylinder.

This should greatly reduce electric bills whilst increasing comfort and control.

Something a bit different today.
Whilst most homeowners would love mains pressured systems for washing and showering, such as combi boilers or unvented hot water cylinders, sometimes the incoming mains just isn’t enough, especially when it is a multi bathroom or high occupancy property.
One solution is a break tank and mains booster pump to boost pressure and flow rate to the whole house.
Here’s in an install completed today in an outhouse of a large property, with a Stuart Turner Mainsboost VariQ pump.
