Danger and a fire risk, I have replaced these 12 volt down lighters to LED down lighters and came across this burnt transformer that was too close to the lamp and having no fire hoods, luckily no joist was to close.

I couldn’t recommend Top Notch enough! Shaun first came to my property over 10 years ago. He is never too busy to help in an emergency and his communication is excellent responding immediately. No job is too big or too small. I moved back to my house just over two weeks ago and Shaun has helped since Day 1. In that time he has painted two bedrooms and bathrooms, they now look brand new! He has replaced all the ceiling lights in both bedrooms. Replaced the front door lock, fixed the outside light, fixed all the switches in the hallway, put in a light and socket in the cupboard under the stairs. Shaun is an excellent electrician but he is so much more. He is also the cleanest and neatest tradesmen, vacuuming as he works. I live on my own and it is a reassurance that he is there at the end of a phone in case of an emergency. I could say so much more but suffice to say Shaun is the man for the job!

I was called out to this electric boiler today as it had stopped working, I traced the electric fault back the the wiring for the analogue timer, the wiring had melted, I cut back the burnt cables and made good, I purchased and fitted a new timer, I checked the operation of the boiler and the hot water and heating are now working fine.
