Mini roundabout reinstatement scheme recently completed in Ballyhalbert, Co. Down 👌

A full start-to-finish surfacing operation carried out by the Armstrong Surfacing team, including preparation works, planing, reinstatement and final surfacing.

Projects like this highlight the importance of coordination, quality workmanship and efficient delivery to minimise disruption while maintaining high standards throughout the programme.

Another major forecourt project completed for GO 👌

A great example of how Armstrong Surfacing can deliver large commercial surfacing schemes using multiple paving setups working side by side.

Here we have our BOMAG BF600 and newly added BOMAG BF300 paving together simultaneously on a brand new GO station in Ballymena.

The smaller BF300 allows us to pave tighter areas, islands, curves and detailed sections while hot matching directly alongside the larger paver — reducing hand lay, improving finish quality and eliminating cold joints across the surface.

This type of coordinated paving operation helps deliver:

✔️ Better mat consistency
✔️ Faster programme completion
✔️ Improved efficiency onsite
✔️ High quality commercial results

Armstrong Surfacing is looking for experienced 8 wheeler tipper drivers to join our growing team.

We are a busy, well-established family business with a strong reputation across surfacing, groundworks, haulage and plant operations. We want dependable men who take pride in their work, look after their lorry, and represent the company properly on site.

The role:

- Driving 8 wheeler tipper lorries
- Delivering materials safely and efficiently to sites
- Working closely with site teams and office staff
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and keeping lorries clean and presentable
- Following all site safety and transport procedures

What we’re looking for:

- Valid licence for 8 wheeler tipper work
- CPC and digital tachograph card
- Experience in construction / quarry / roadworks work preferred
- Good attitude and reliability
- Someone who can be trusted to do the job right

🛑Ongoing Investment to Support Essential Road Repairs 🛑

Following the recent period of severe weather, road networks across the region have experienced significant deterioration.
In response, Armstrong Surfacing has continued to invest in strengthening our fleet, with the recent addition of two new 1200 rollers, delivered on our low loader, to improve efficiency and response times.
Pictured is our asphalt squad working this morning in the Lisburn area, carrying out essential surface repairs.
Our teams are currently operating extended hours, including nights and weekends, to address priority defects and maintain safe road conditions.
During this period of increased emergency works, we kindly ask our private and commercial customers to bear with us, as priority is being given to urgent public road safety repairs.
We appreciate everyone’s continued patience and understanding.
