Progress update from The current loft conversion project in Horsham.

The original hip roof has now been removed and the new gable formed, complete with a Sussex barn end and twin dormers. First fix carpentry is almost complete and the transformation is really starting to take shape.

Next week we move into another major stage of the project, with the structural steelwork being installed to support the new floor and roof structure before we can cut out the old trusses in the other roof section, which will make the space huge.

A lot of people only see the finished room, but projects like this involve weeks of planning, ordering materials, coordinating trades and countless hours of carpentry before the space starts to come together.

Looking forward to sharing the next stage of the build.

💥labourer wanted💥

Good evening, I’m looking for a labourer to help finish a project I currently have running, with the possibility of more work throughout the year.

Unfortunately, I can’t offer anything permanent at this stage, so ideally I’m looking for someone happy to work on an as-and-when basis. There are a few weeks’ work available immediately, followed by another project starting around July which should run for approximately 4–6 weeks.

I’m not looking for highly skilled carpenters, as I carry out the main work myself. Mainly someone reliable, hard-working, and willing to help out on site. Experience in construction or using basic tools would be beneficial.

Own transport would be beneficial, although I can provide a lift from Littlehampton, so this would ideally suit someone local.

Perfect weather today for some roof work on the 1st of 2 dormers on our current loft conversion project. Although there’s been a few hold ups on this job it’s still coming together nicely Keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks I’ve got some great photos to share with you all 👌

Not a bad start considering only a 4 day week just the ridge to cut back to form the Sussex barn end Lost time this week so weathered up and to be continued next week……
