A little look at one of our latest projects… Fudge Kitchen, Chester.

After around 8 weeks on site, we’re really pleased to see the doors officially open at the new Fudge Kitchen on Watergate Street, Chester.

This has been a fantastic project for the ADA team and a real transformation of an empty former bank into the a lovely fudge shop.

From the initial plans and layouts through to the finished shop, ADA managed the complete fit-out, including the strip-out, plasterboarding, ceilings, flooring, electrics, plumbing, bathrooms, decoration and the refurbishment of the existing shopfront. We also arranged and produced the bespoke counters and display units.

Being part of Chester’s historic Rows certainly made this an interesting one! With an old building came uneven walls and floors, low ceilings, original features to work sympathetically around and the usual challenges of access and parking in the middle of Chester.

A big thank you to all of our team and the subcontractors who worked alongside us to bring everything together — we’re really proud of how it has turned out.

Fudge Kitchen Chester officially opened on Friday 28th August, so if you’re in Chester this weekend, pop in and have a look (and maybe some fudge too!).

One of the more unique and challenging projects ADA has completed recently… working at the summit café on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). 🏔️

This wasn’t your average fit-out job!

Every tool, material and piece of equipment had to travel up the mountain by train, with the team working around constantly changing weather conditions and regular delays when it wasn’t safe for trains to reach the summit.

At the start of the project there was no power or heating on site — and yes, we even had snow in May!

The works included the installation of a new three-section café counter layout, incorporating food prep areas, hot food and drinks preparation, customer serving counters and chilled display storage.

Massive credit to Craig, Jim and Rob for persevering through some tough conditions to get the job completed. And most importantly… remembering to take the van keys back down the mountain each evening. 🚐

A big thank you as well to the café and railway staff for all their help and support throughout the project.

Another great project completed by ADA Shopfittings Ltd 💙

📍 Hospice of the Good Shepherd – Centurion Point, Chester

We’ve recently been working with the amazing team at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd to help transform and refresh their retail space at Centurion Point.

Works included:
• Supply and installation of new slatwall display systems
• Bespoke display shelving and wall merchandising
• Shop gondola display units
• Counter and retail display areas
• Custom-built sorting pens and storage areas for donations
• Improved layout to maximise retail and donation space

The finished shop now offers a brighter, more organised and flexible retail environment for both volunteers and customers, helping support the incredible work the hospice does within the local community!
