It is with great sadness that one of our founding partners, Frank Lofthouse, passed on Saturday. Frank started the practice alongside Trevor Condy in 1979, and was at the backbone of its evolution until his retirement in the early 2000’s. His legacy and values live on in the fabric of our company today. Our thoughts are with all his family and friends.

Condy Lofthouse Architects attended the Everton in the Community Stakeholders Breakfast this morning to hear about the incredible work the charity does within the Liverpool L4 region and the wider city.
The scope of their impact is vast, addressing key social challenges such as mental health, homelessness, education, and more. It’s no surprise that Everton in the Community is recognised as one of the Premier League’s leading community schemes.
Hearing about the collaborative efforts with organisations like the Steve Morgan Foundation and Liverpool City Council reinforces how powerful partnerships can make a real difference in the lives of so many.

We had the privilege of welcoming both a King and a Prince to the Tiber Project in Toxteth, Liverpool. Their visit marks a significant milestone in the development of this community facility, being constructed by Krol Corlett.

🎉 Refurbishments for Porthaven Care Homes 🎉

As we step into the new year, Condy Lofthouse Architects reflect on some of our recent achievements with our longstanding client, Porthaven Care Homes. We're proud to have completed two refurbishments in Chipping Norton and Stokenchurch, where we've focused on creating welcoming, engaging spaces for residents and visitors alike.

🔹 Cinema Addition – We introduced a cinema space, providing an immersive entertainment experience for all.
🔹 Reception & Café Remodelling – These key communal areas were transformed, offering a fresh, modern environment for socialising and relaxation.

These projects reflect our commitment to enhancing the living experience within care homes, with thoughtful design that prioritises comfort, functionality, and enjoyment.

Over the weekend, David walked an amazing 32.5 miles, taking 64,482 steps in 8 hours 10 minutes, at the Isle of Man Parish Walk, raising money for our Charity of the Year the ADHD Foundation

We would like to say a massive congratulations to David and thank him for his extraordinary efforts in raising £96!

Following the success of our CLA charity golf day earlier this year for the ADHD Foundation, we had the pleasure of presenting the monies raised at their HQ in Liverpool yesterday. £19,425.00 was raised on the day, a terrific effort by all those involved.

CLA are still fundraising for the remainder of this year for the Foundation, and we are aiming high for a good total in December.

Mr Trevor Condy also presented a gift of his painting, prepared especially for the Charity, using the umbrella theme. The Umbrella Project aims to flip the disabling perception of neurodiverse individuals on its head, and instead, celebrate cognitive differences - part of an initiative to raise awareness of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism and neurodiversity.”

Today we attended Cheshire East Council planning committee with Peacock + Smith, where our proposal for a 24 Bedroom Specialist Care Home was successfully approved unanimously in Crewe.

The new facility will provide additional accommodation to supplement an existing care facility on the site.
