🎉 Congratulations, Tom! 🎉

We’re proud to share that Tom Hewlett has officially completed his apprenticeship and is now a fully qualified Electrical Engineer here at Hebs! ⚡

Tom has been part of the Hebs team since 2021, and throughout that time he’s shown real commitment, skill, and enthusiasm for his trade. Tom has successfully achieved his City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) 👏

Tom has now received his AM2 Certificate - the final, performance-based assessment that demonstrates an electrician’s practical skills, knowledge, and professionalism.

This is a fantastic achievement and a real milestone in Tom’s career. 👏

We’re delighted to see his hard work, dedication, and talent recognised, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow and contribute to the Hebs team.

At Hebs, we’re passionate about supporting and upskilling our apprentices, helping them progress into fully qualified roles where they can build long and rewarding careers. Tom’s achievement is a brilliant example of that commitment in action.

🦔 A little rescue story from Team Hebs...

During a recent job, our engineers discovered the cause of a blocked drain wasn’t what we expected… it was a hedgehog who’d fallen into an open gully! 💧🦔

Thankfully, our team quickly rescued the little guy and got him safely to Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital, where he’s now been cleaned up, cared for, and is on the road to recovery. 💚

Hebs has donated towards his care to help support the brilliant team at Lower Moss Wood and all the amazing work they do for local wildlife.

This was a timely reminder that even small details, like ensuring gully covers are properly secured, can make a real difference not just for infrastructure, but for the creatures who share our environment. 🌿

Regular maintenance and safety checks are so important. An uncovered or damaged gully isn’t just a potential cause of flooding or blockages, it could also pose risks to the public, such as school children tripping or debris entering the drainage system.

They did it!!

After 14 days, over 1,000 miles, countless climbs, Mike and Jessica have officially completed their Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle challenge - and we couldn’t be prouder! 💛

From the rolling hills of Cornwall, through Dartmoor, the Lake District, the Scottish Highlands and all the way to the very top of the UK - this wasn’t just a physical challenge, it was a mission to raise awareness and funds for Children with Cancer UK.

They took on this journey in support of every child fighting cancer today, in memory of loved ones lost, and to help more families hear that all-important sound: the end of treatment bell.

To everyone who has donated, shared their journey, cheered them on, or sent words of encouragement - thank you. Your support means the world.

From the wild climbs of Dartmoor to the breath-taking beauty of the Lake District, and now pushing on through Scotland after crossing at Gretna, Mike and Jessica are powering their way through over 1,000 miles on their incredible Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle challenge.

Every hill climbed, every mile pedalled, every aching muscle… is for Children with Cancer UK- and for every child still fighting.

This journey is so much more than a ride. It’s a tribute.
To children who deserve to ring that end-of-treatment bell.
To the loved ones Mike and Jess are riding in memory of.
And to the families who need hope, support, and better futures.

They’ve already shown extraordinary strength and determination, and with just four days to go, we want to give them the final push they need to get over that finish line. 💪

🚴‍♂️ The countdown is well and truly ON! 🚴‍♀️

After completing two incredible cycling challenges for Children with Cancer UK, Mike & Jessica knew they couldn’t stop there - because every child deserves to ring the end of treatment bell. 💛

In just a few days, on 25th May, Mike, our Financial Director and his daughter Jessica will be cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats - over 1,000 miles in 14 days, to continue supporting this amazing charity and the life-changing work they do.

✨ For over 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has been driving vital research into the causes of childhood cancers and helping to develop treatments that are not only more effective - but gentler on young bodies.

🚴‍♂️ From Land’s End to John O’Groats – Over 1,000 Miles for an Incredible Cause 🚴‍♀️

Our very own Financial Director, Mike, is taking on a truly epic challenge - cycling the length of the UK with his daughter Jessica from May 25th to June 7th to raise vital funds for Children with Cancer UK.

From the southernmost tip of England to the northernmost point of Scotland, this journey spans over 1,000 miles, a test of endurance, grit, and heart, all in the name of helping children and families affected by cancer.

This isn’t their first fundraising ride, Mike and Jessica have previously completed 'The London Ride' and 'London to Paris', raising over £10,000 for this life-changing charity.

Now, they’re back in the saddle and aiming higher. Every donation, no matter how big or small, goes toward funding research into the causes of childhood cancers and developing kinder, more effective treatments.

🚨 CASE STUDY ALERT 🚨

This February, the team at hebs remodelled an existing space for the YMCA in High Wycombe.

Eight flats are located within the Conference Centre with each having its own intercom system as well as access control.

Four were developed within the basement of Jon Saynor House, whereby we made internal alterations to walls to reshape the interior and provided all twelve flats with en-suite bathrooms and self-sufficient kitchens. 👷‍♂️🏢
