ScaffEx26 is getting closer. Here's what we're bringing to Manchester. With ScaffEx26 just a couple of months away, the George Roberts team is well into preparations for what promises to be a fantastic show.

On 10–11 September at Manchester Central, you'll find us on the exhibition floor with our full range of traditional and system scaffolding, temporary weather protection systems, hire fleet options, flexible financing, and the GR+ webstore for online ordering. We will be on Stand B10 so make sure you come and find us!
ScaffEx26 also features a full conference programme with keynote speeches and panel discussions on training, design, and safety, as well as the Scaffolding Excellence Awards on the Friday evening.

We are incredibly proud to share that George Roberts has been shortlisted for Service of the Year at the Scaffolding Excellence Awards 2026!

With entries up 40% on last year, this is the most competitive year in the awards’ history. So, to make the shortlist in such a strong field means a great deal to our team.

As judging panel chair Dr James MacFadden put it, this year's entries show "an industry that continues to raise standards, embrace innovation and invest in excellence." We're honoured to be recognised alongside the very best in the sector.

Winners will be announced on Friday 11 September at Manchester Central, hosted by Dara Ó Briain with special guests Rachel Riley and Phil Tufnell.

Organised by the NASC , ScaffEx26 brings together three distinct experiences: a major exhibition, a conference featuring industry thought leaders, and the prestigious Scaffolding Excellence Awards. It's the standout event in the industry calendar, and as a NASC Full Non-Contracting Member, it's one we're proud to be part of.

As we wrap up 2025, we're filled with pride for another successful year at George Roberts. We're grateful for our clients' and our team's . Together, we've maintained top-class service, fostered excellent relationships, and provided high-quality products. 🌟

As announced, we’ve made our annual Christmas donations to our 11 nominated charities 🎄❤️ and we remain committed to supporting those in need at this time of year.

🚨 Crisis to Collaboration: Maghull Town Hall's Resilience Story

Back in February, Maghull Town Hall faced a devastating , forcing the council to act fast. With the roof severely damaged, essential repairs could only move forward once a temporary roof enclosure was in place.

Roofer & Builder and Habb Scaffolding rose to the challenge, delivering a robust temporary structure — and with our George Roberts N.W. depot less than 5 miles away, we were perfectly positioned to support the project.

Habb Scaffolding relied on us not just for materials, but also for technical support. Our North West representative, Jonathan Swanepoel, worked closely with the team, using his expertise to interpret drawings and provide hands-on guidance throughout the build. Thanks to Jonathan and Habb’s committed workforce, the job was completed swiftly, , and effectively.

Now, 10 months on, as winter sets in, the roof still stands strong — a testament to the of the George Roberts temporary roofing system and the growing expertise of Harry and the team at Habb Scaffolding.

👏 Full credit to everyone involved for transforming a challenging situation into a powerful example of local , skill, and resilience.
