Hello & a very Merry Christmas to all of our customers.

We hope you have a great New Year & 2022 especially after the challenging last 2 years. Last year was the first year that we have never sent Christmas cards out to all of our valued customers and instead gave a donation to 2 local charities. We hope to continue this tradition year on year by making a contribution on behalf of our customers who we appreciate very much.

Last year we gave £100 to the Inclusive Hub in Kirkdale & £30 to Walton ABC, who where raising to by a defibrillator. The Inclusive Hub provide activities and fitness classes for disabled people young and older. They also do classes for vulnerable women to help boost their self esteem.

This year we have donated to Queens Court Hospice in Southport. A place that offers comfort and care to people who are at end of life and a welcoming place for their families at such a difficult time.

We hope that you’re pleased with our choices and look forward to seeing and working for you again throughout 2022. Once again thanks for your custom and have a great Christmas.

With the right budget even the smallest bathroom can be made into your sanctuary. A lot went into this bathroom but was worth it as it's now been transformed into a place of relaxation for all of the family.

Another highly intense but rewarding week done, and now to rip it all out again.

HJO Plumbjng & Heating has just provided site water for toilets, catering, bars and general public drinking for the government backed Sefton Park Pilot Event. Its long, hard hours but very rewarding and to be involved with shows that hopefully gets Britain out partying and socialising again is very special. Grateful that Liverpool City Council recommended us after our previous work on LIMF and the giants etc: now if the results are positive and the vaccine keeps rolling out we’ll hopefully be at more very, very soon either working or as a reveller enjoying mixing freely.

Stay safe everyone and here’s to 2021 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Vaillant are one of our favourite boilers but this is what can happen if you don’t get them maintained regularly. An annual service would have picked up on the faulty burner gasket, that caused all of this damage, a long time ago.

It now means a very large bill to repair an 18 year old boiler or an even bigger bill to replace for new. Luckily it was found before it did further damage to property or person.

Stay home and stay safe but only if you’re sure your gas appliances are performing safely and efficiently.

It’s October and back to boiler breakdowns now but we managed to squeeze this job in during a lovely sunny week in September, some achievement considering the wet summer ever had.

An interesting job for us because we don’t normally work at height and our first job since becoming ipaf trained on cherry pickers.

A high level 63mm water main to fill three 10,000 litre water tanks at a tanker yard.

Most people have central heating already now so it’s rare for engineers to do full installations, and it’s certainly been a long time for us.

This house had no gas and hot water was from a lovely old coal fire back boiler so it’s been nice to have a blank canvas and fit a full new system including gas carcass.

It’s been a good learning curve for the apprentice and working hard together we’ve had a great week and managed to get loads done, setting us up to finish off in the coming weeks.

Bit of a weekend “love” job. The apprentice Joseph, wiring in new smart controls for his Grandma.

Janet Garlock is knocking on a bit now so we can’t have her traipsing up and down the stairs all the time to turn her heating on and off.

The Honeywell lyric T6 will now bring her heating on at pre set times and to pre set temperatures, meaning her house will now never get cold or too hot.

The three main benefits of a timer like this are 1. Longevity of the boiler, as it won’t work as hard as previously, the Thermostat side of the timer will turn it off when up to temperature so won’t be on for as long and with OT communication technology the boiler will modulate so the components within the boiler won’t be working as hard in future. 2. Comfort. The house will now be a comfortable temperature rather than over shooting to over heat and the under heat the house. 3. Efficiency. The boiler will now be burning less gas and condensing longer so saving money and also better for the environment.

Optimum start settings will learn how quickly her house gets to temperature and react accordingly to give best efficiency.

With WiFi set up she can also control it remotely from her smart phone. Geo fencing can even detect when she is on her way home and bring the heating on automatically.
