A lovely pair of alcove units I have recently finished. This is the 1st pair of the year which feels strange after doing at least one set a week for the last 6 months!

What a week! It came close to all ending this week and I could have easily thrown my tools in the mersey! I normally have the odd day when things don't go to plan but this week was every day. We carry on though. It can't get much worse 😂

Some of you may know that I recently started running! After never running before it has been quite a challenge. With that in mind I have decided to sign up for the Liverpool half marathon in march 2026. For a little added pressure I have decided to try and raise a bit of money for charity in the process.

I have chosen Woodlands hospice in Aintree as the charity.

Woodlands hospice is the sole remaining hospice of its kind in the Merseyside area. This 15 bed hospice provides the best specialist adult palliative care for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. A multi-professional clinical team provides care and support to allow patients, their families and loved ones the chance to live as actively and independently as possible.

2026 will be the 30th anniversary of Woodlands hospice opening its doors for the 1st time caring for thousands of people in that time. It costs £4000 a day to keep this incredible service open and free of charge.

Every penny the hospice gets is vital to allow them to continue the amazing work they all do keeping our loved ones comfortable when they need it most, so please if you can donate using the link below or directly to me and I'll make sure it gets to the hospice.

And just like that another year is done! I'd like to thank all my customers from this year for making it the busiest one yet! Let's hope for more of the same next year too.

Getting near the Christmas break! I'm ready for it now. In the meantime, here are more alcove units! 2025 has definitely been the year of the alcoves! I also did the skirting boards and picture rails on this job too.
