One of my customers is selling his camper. Building this has been his hobby and he's been very particular about keeping it mint. I've got to say, the base van was exceptionally clean when I first saw it and he's kept it that way. If you fancy a nice van at a decent price check it out. It might not look like much but see that box the speaker is sitting on, well that's an isolation stand I'm developing.
On Friday I got a chance to test it in a recording/practice room with an expensive set of studio monitors and a sound professional who specialises in mixing Dolby atoms stuff.
We also tested it with the industry leader and while mine don't quite sound as good they transmit no resonance to the stand, unlike the others.
We have a couple of options to cure the sound issue and the redesign is ready to go.
The big question is, can a wee guy with limited resources and development budget, in a unit in Livingston beat the best in the industry?
What do you think?

Following on from yesterday's turntable and amp stand a friend suggested if I made it 3 record boxes wide I could extend the plinth to take two turntables and a mixer for vinyl loving DJs.
So over lunch I modified the design and here's how it would look.
I wouldn't know how to DJ on turntables but if you do and fancy a deal on a prototype model I can use for pictures, give me a shout.

Sure, the turntable plinth is larger than average but why do average?

Last week the new edgebander arrived. It's not a tens of thousands of pounds machine. It's a no frills machine that sticks on banding, trims it and polishes the edges just like a 10k+ unit.
So far I have banded every piece of scrap in the shop and a couple of actual jobs.
