🪏It has been 38 years since excavations began at Great Orme Mines!

This photo was taken on the first day of excavation, in November 1987. Since then tonnes of mining spoil has been removed from the site, exposing the prehistoric landscape and the Bronze Age underground mine entrances. These entrances are same the ones that our visitors use today. This site has also revealed to us a vast amount of information about our prehistoric ancestors and Great Orme’s significant place in European history.
