Do you want to take control of your energy prices?

Times like these highlight the volatility of off contract fossil fuels like bought in LPG, Gas Oil and Kerosene etc. But also the cost of electric (which many pay over 30p and this is before any standing charge). https://www.nottenergy.com/advice-and-tools/project-energy-cost-comparison

Bearing in mind some wood can be obtained legally for little to no cost (from arboricultural contractors, normal maintenance and from windfelled trees or the like etc) - it highlights to possible savings of biomass boilers (even before commercial or domestic subsidies which still exist for boilers). https://www.gov.uk/apply-boiler-upgrade-scheme

Bear in mind that even bought woodchip or logs can be substantially cheaper that the quoted price (£361 per 1000kg) - as we found a deal offering around 800kg for £269 delivered (£336 per 1000kg, 7% cheaper than the quoted price).

Cosy nights and crackling fires are a welcome comfort on colder evenings but it’s important to use them safely.

If your log burner or open fire is back in use, make sure your chimney has been swept and your appliance properly serviced to help reduce the risk of chimney fires.

Keep logs, coal and other fuels stored well away from the heat, and always use a spark guard to stop embers escaping.

Don’t let a preventable chimney fire undo the comfort of your evening.
