Again been very busy couple of weeks for the team. 🗓️👍
But also very hard time we have suffered a massive loss with the passing of max the collie at the age of 14 he was an amazing dog and touched the hearts of many over the years. 💔🐾
On the jobs we have been removing snapped out limbs and end weight in a Lebanese cedar at the old rectory. 🌳🛠️
Reducing and removing Scots pines trees at parkdean to help with the WiFi connection on the park. 🌲📶
Sycamore redution over a house in cilcin. 🏡🌳
There has been lots more hedges and trees also over the weeks. 🌿🌳
More exciting big trees to come over the next couple of weeks. 🤩🌲

Headline: Winter Work & New Wheels: February Roundup 🌲🚜

It’s been a non-stop start to the year! While the photos might not show the relentless rain we’ve worked through, our team has been busy across Ruthin and the surrounding areas. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to:
Willow Management:
Completed a full re-pollarding to encourage healthy new growth.

Timber Repurposing: Milling a large Ash tree that was removed due to dieback last year—giving the wood a second life.
Field Maple Removal: Safely dismantled and logged for the customer.

Birch Care: Performed crown reductions on a struggling Silver Birch in Ruthin to improve its health.

Fleet Upgrades:
To keep up with the demand, we’ve added a brand new black Toyota Hilux to the fleet. Plus, the "Big Red Truck" is back from a full service with new oversized wheels—essential for staying mobile in those waterlogged winter fields!

The warm weather is finally here to stay, and we're ready for a busy spring. ☀️

It has been a pleasure for the second year in a row to work in partnership with NRW and The Woodland Trust to maintain the site at the Pen y Coed SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).

Our team has been hard at work cutting and removing encroaching scrub, brambles, ivy and tree saplings.
This work is being carried out to allow the grassland to re-establish and to ensure the continued protection of the lowland meadow habitats.

It's been a busy and rewarding lead-up to Christmas for the Ruthin Tree Care team! We've dedicated significant time and effort to essential local projects, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining the safety and health of our community's green spaces:

Supporting the Woodland Trust: We've been clearing numerous windblown trees in Llanbedr-Dyffryn-Clwyd, helping to restore vital woodland areas

Tackling the Giants: Our lead climber, Sion, expertly managed the careful removal of a massive windblown branch from a magnificent giant redwood.

Community Projects: We completed necessary ash dieback work and general tree maintenance for the Llanferres playing fields, ensuring safer recreational areas for everyone.

Professional Reductions: We conducted precise ash tree reductions at Blackfriars Court in Mold, enhancing property safety and appearance.
