We’re proud to have been chosen to help Llanymynech take big steps toward sustainability.

Our team at D R Electrical Contractors has delivered a full package of energy-saving upgrades designed to cut running costs and reduce carbon footprint:

🔆 12kW of Solar PV – Harnessing the power of the sun to generate clean, renewable electricity directly on-site, helping the hall become more self-sufficient.

💡 Suspended Ceiling & DALI LED Panels – Brand-new LED lighting with smart DALI controls that automatically adjust brightness based on natural light levels. Combined with presence & absence detection, this ensures lighting is only on when needed – saving energy and creating the perfect atmosphere.

🔥 Upgraded Heating – Replacing old electric heaters with efficient stone-cored electric radiators. These retain heat longer, provide more consistent warmth, and give the hall greater control over comfort while keeping costs down.

🚶 Smart Sensors Throughout – We’ve also added presence detection in kitchens and toilets to eliminate wasted energy from lights being left on.

Together, these improvements make Llanymynech Village Hall more sustainable, cost-efficient, and future-ready – a true example of how smart electrical solutions can power community spaces 🌍⚡

A recent project completed in Ruthin, transforming this beautiful old barn/farmhouse while preserving its original charm.

We at D R Electrical Contractors were tasked with designing and installing a full electrical system that would remain minimal and non-intrusive—just as the client envisioned. The goal: to discreetly highlight the incredible existing timber structure and architectural features.

Every light fitting was carefully selected from , giving the space a clean, modern finish that complements the rustic character of the property.

Sometimes, less really is more.

What a project this one was! A bit different from our usual scope — had us scratching our heads a few times and working into the late hours. But we pulled it off, just in time, and we’re proud of the results.

Another electric vehicle charge point installed, tested and commissioned today. A BG Wall Charger 2 7.4kW, a BG external EV specific consumer unit with surge protection and a AFDD/ RCBO and EV ultra cable were our choice for this install. Big thanks to .group and for sorting us out a last minute external consumer unit! 😅🙏🏼
