“A great company to work with.”

This kind of feedback says it all.

From first contact through to installation, the South West team kept things smooth, efficient and straightforward. Ollie and John were on site, answering questions and making sure everything was delivered properly, even as the job progressed.

“The foundation screws have proven to be a perfect alternative to a much longer process of using a concrete base.”

That’s exactly what we aim for. A simpler, faster way to get solid foundations in place without the delays. Thanks again to Matt and the team for delivering the job, and for the kind words.

If you’re planning a project and want to explore an alternative to concrete, we’re always happy to help.

Working on a project in Wales?

Our No More Digging Wales team is on the ground delivering ground screw installations across a wide range of sites, from garden rooms and lodges through to boardwalks and access routes in more challenging environments.

They know the ground conditions, the access challenges, and how to keep projects moving without the delays and disruption that come with traditional foundations.

It’s the same approach you’ll get across the UK, just delivered locally by a team who understands the area.

Building near protected trees isn’t straightforward.

Between TPO restrictions and root protection zones, traditional foundations can quickly become a problem, whether that’s excavation limits, planning hurdles, or the risk of damaging root systems.

Ground screws offer a different approach. Installed without digging, with a small footprint and minimal disruption, they’re well suited to projects where protecting the surrounding ground really matters.

We’ve put together a guide that breaks down how it works, where it’s used, and why it’s often the go-to solution on tree-sensitive sites.

Not every solar site is straightforward.

At SPS Fauldhouse, we were working on ground that was regularly waterlogged, with level changes across the site and a tight programme to work to.

Following site surveys and testing, our Scotland team installed 108 ground screws at varying depths to create a stable, level base for a 100kW solar array.

The full installation was completed in just five days, ready for panels to go in without delay.
It’s a good example of how ground screws keep projects moving, even when ground conditions aren’t ideal.

“An amazing service. Amazing staff and an amazing product.”

We were recommended for this project, and it’s great to hear how the experience carried through from first enquiry to installation.

From helping answer questions at the start, to delivering on site in difficult conditions, this is exactly what we aim for on every job.

“Probably recommended these guys about fifty times since they completed the work.”
That’s the kind of feedback that means the most.

Thanks again for the recommendation, we really appreciate it.

Sometimes it’s worth going back to basics.

What actually makes ground screws a better option than traditional foundations?

No digging. No concrete. No waiting around for things to cure. Just a faster, cleaner way to get a solid base in place and keep your project moving.

They’re installed with minimal disruption, work in all weather, and handle everything from garden rooms to larger commercial builds.

It’s simple, but it’s a completely different way of thinking about foundations.

Out on the Isle of Arran, our Scotland team has just completed a 100-metre larch boardwalk across wetland.

This wasn’t a straightforward install. Soft ground, exposed conditions and limited access all had to be worked around, while keeping disruption to the landscape to a minimum.

We installed 110 RADIX PRO ground screws along the route, using a mix of lengths to suit the changing ground conditions.

The full install was completed over two weeks, without excavation or concrete, and with minimal impact on the surrounding environment.

The finished boardwalk now provides reliable access to hillside areas for reseeding, helping reduce flooding further down the glen.

It’s the kind of project where ground screws really make sense. Challenging ground, sensitive surroundings, and a need to keep things moving.

If you’ve got a site like this, we’re always happy to talk it through.

Solar foundations are often installed using driven steel piles.

They’re effective, but they rely on impact installation , large rigs hammering piles into the ground, which can create noise, vibration and disruption on site.

Screw piles offer a different approach.

Installed using controlled hydraulic torque rather than impact, they allow foundations to be placed quickly and accurately with smaller equipment and far less disturbance to the surrounding ground.

For solar developers, this means:

🔧 Controlled installation
📏 Accurate positioning
🌱 Reduced site disturbance
⚡ Foundations ready for the next stage immediately

It’s a quieter, cleaner and more efficient way to deliver solar foundations.

Installed. Checked. Ready to build.

There’s usually a trade-off when it comes to foundations. Time, cost, disruption, or environmental impact.

Ground screws tend to reduce a lot of that at once. There’s no excavation, very little mess, and far less material compared to concrete.

It means you can get on with the job without having to prepare the site twice.
