J Plant Hire Ltd are a civil engineering and plant hire company covering Argyllshire and Kintyre. All our operatives hold CSCS/CPCS/NPORS certification for plant operation and groundworks and the company holds NRSWA certification for street works operations.

Recent job completed by J Plant Hire on a forest walk,

The culvert that was in place before could not coupe with amount of water running down the pitched river and it washed the foot path away and exposed the pipe,

We removed the existing culvert to replace with a concrete culvert which were made and delivered to the job, culvert sections were put in ontop of a C25 concrete base and sealed together with appropriate sealant provided,
We then back filled with some type 1 and compacted it down to support culvert as the asdug was not suitable to be put back in.

We tied in the existing pitched ditch with the new culvert sections on both inlet and outlet of the culvert and made a upstand on the top of the culvert to stop debris and soil ect falling into the water

We then made concrete base on top of the culvert sections with C25 concrete and then put down 7 timber sleepers and install straps over the top so they can be removed and replaced if needed

A recent job completed by J Plant Hire in lochgilphead this week,

We dismantled and remove old existing fence as it was rotten and causing the fence to fall into driveway and garden of the neighboring house wrong posts ordered by customer by mistake bu desperate to get fence rebuilt so had to add in some extensions to catch the top runner

Heres a recent job carried out replacing a culvert and reinstating the foot path for perdestrians, as it had been washed away no before pictures but there was no path or pipe

A recent job completed by J Plant Hire we reinstated the paths with new edging and 14mm washed stone and demolished the raised beds in the gardens and put down teram and type 1 then 14mm washed stone over the top to create a big open area for the nursery to carry out activities

These units ensure that each trade is segregated and maintaining social distancing during break and rest periods.

It also provides a drying area for any wet clothing during our wonderful summer months!!
