Wallace the wallaby update
Not good news yet I'm afraid
Witnesses have said that there was a group of at least 4 dogs had come into the premises at 9pm Friday night 25/04/2025 they had noticed them as they were barking rather loud.
Wallace was then possibly spotted between 21.00-22.00 outside euroroute recovery by a passer by (informed on Saturday)
Can I please state, letting your dogs loose in any business premises is unacceptable, let alone a premises with livestock such as cows, sheep etc even if they didn't know about the enclosure.
Further to this, it is apparently a regular occurrence in the later evenings!
I have been very accommodating allowing the public to pop in and see the cows etc as it has become a popular stop to see them, however if this continues full restrictions will be put around the premises preventing any unauthorised access!
We spent Saturday with the help of some amazing locals searching high and low through fields, farms and Forrest's with no luck.
We have had one of the local shooters out with his thermal drone this morning with no luck, however he has kindly lent me his thermal scope to continue searching into the night.
Then we had 33 Air Solutions who were amazing, with a thermal drone so good it even picked up the heat from cow pat!
Some kids in Johnstone bridge thought they saw him in a Forrest, however all the drone picked up in the miles surrounding this area was rabbits however very well spotted off them! 😁
We investigated every pile of fermenting grass, squirrel, bird off prey, rabbit and even cow pat without a single sighting of him.
Our best guess, is he is in a shed or hidden underneath something blocking thermal imaging.
We will be searching again tonight when he is most likely to come out of hiding, however we have been contacted about undescribable animals in the Lockerbie and lochmaben area that are worth being vigilant for.
Again, a massive thank you to all who have come out and helped this far, other than a clear struggle of him fleeing his enclosure, there is no evidence or signs that he has been hurt or harmed and this is positive news, we need your help to spread the word, any sightings to please call crazy critters immediately, do not approach and do not try to catch him, even if you managed to you risk injuring him with delicate bones or him going into cardiac arrest.
Preferably share this post and prevent screenshotting as it creates a struggle for the public to trace back to the page to get contact info.
Thanks all.
