🎉CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF NAIRN CONSTRUCTION 🎉

On 19 August 2016, Nairn Construction was officially registered.

What started as an idea around a kitchen table has grown into an established construction company, delivering projects across Scotland and the North of England.

Looking back over the last decade, we've delivered projects we're proud of, built trusted relationships with clients and subcontractors, created strong teams, invested in our people and systems, and continuously raised our standards.

And at the heart of it all? The people.

To our team, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, advisers, mentors and everyone who has supported Nairn Construction over the past decade, thank you.

We couldn't have done it without you.

Here's to the next 10. 🥂

🚛 WE'RE HIRING👷

Yard Supervisor/Delivery Driver - Lockerbie
Full-Time | Permanent | £35,000-£40,000

We're heading into our busiest year yet, and we need someone who can help us run it properly.

Nairn Construction Ltd is looking for an experienced, level-headed Yard Supervisor/Delivery Driver to take real ownership of how our yard and deliveries operate day to day.

This isn't just a driving job. You'll have your own base in our main office, you'll be central to how things run, and your input on what's working (and what isn't) will genuinely be heard as we grow. Two days a week you'll also be planning and directing the workload of a second driver, so you'll need to be someone who can prioritise and keep several things moving at once without dropping any of them.

🛠 What you'll be doing:
✅Delivering and collecting materials, tools and plant
✅Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe
✅Managing stock, equipment and tool registers
✅Carrying out vehicle safety checks
✅Booking in servicing, MOTs and equipment inspections
✅Planning and prioritising your own workload and a second driver, two days a week
✅Supporting our site and office teams
✅Helping keep our Health & Safety standards on point

💪You'll fit right in if you:
- Are highly organised, with strong time management and the ability to prioritise under pressure
- Have a Full UK Driving Licence
- Have experience running yards, logistics, deliveries and operations
- Can make sound decisions and take ownership without needing everything spelled out
- Work well as part of a team, and just as well when left to get on with it
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office

🛻You'll need to be 25 or over - it's an insurance requirement on our vehicles.

We're a family-run business, and as we grow, we want people around us who care about doing it properly. If that's you, we'd love to hear from you.

Celebrating a remarkable career and wishing Stuart a very happy retirement! 👏🔨

After many years of dedication, hard work, and craftsmanship, we are celebrating the retirement of one of our valued bricklayers, Stuart.

A highly respected member of our team, Stuart has played an important role at Nairn Construction, not only through the quality of his work but also through the knowledge and experience he has shared with those around him. Throughout his career with us, he has supported and guided many of our younger team members, passing on valuable skills that have helped build their confidence on site.

Stuart's journey with Nairn Construction also holds a special connection with our Managing Director, Craig. When Craig first started out in construction, Stuart was his foreman, helping to shape Craig's early career. As Craig progressed through the industry and took on new responsibilities, their roles eventually reversed, with Craig becoming Stuart's foreman.

There is also a special family connection within the company, with our Construction Director, Michael, being Stuart's son. Having generations of the same family contribute to the success of Nairn Construction is something truly special and reflects the strong relationships built over the years.

From his craftsmanship on site to the knowledge he has passed on, Stuart has made a lasting impact on our team and the projects he has helped bring to life.

Stuart, you've certainly earned this one! Thank you for all the hard work, the laughs, and the support you've given the team over the years. We hope retirement treats you well and brings you plenty of time to enjoy the things you love.

All the very best, from everyone at .💙

☀ Don't let the heat catch you out.

With the warmer weather bringing additional challenges on site, we're reminding everyone to stay aware of the effects of working in higher temperatures and take the necessary steps to stay safe.

Staying hydrated, taking breaks when needed, and using the appropriate PPE for the task all play an important part in managing the challenges of warmer weather on site. By working together and keeping safety at the forefront, we can help prevent heat-related issues and keep our teams safe.

Enjoy the sunshine, but remember to stay alert, stay prepared, and look out for each other this summer. 😎

Congratulations and Good Luck, Cameron! 🌟

This week we said goodbye to Cameron as he takes the next big step in his Civil Engineering career. Although we're sad to see him go, we're incredibly proud of everything he's achieved during his time at Nairn Construction.

Since joining the team, Cameron has successfully completed his HND in Civil Engineering at Glasgow Kelvin College, as well as gaining valuable hands-on experience on site with our team. Along the way, he has built a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and confidence that will serve him well in the next stage of his journey.

He's now moving on to continue his studies at UWS as he begins his new role as a Graduate Apprentice Civil Engineer, gaining further experience across different sites and teams.

It's a great example of what this industry can offer when learning and real site experience come together, and we've no doubt he'll go on to achieve great things.

From everyone at , thank you, Cameron, for all your hard work. Good luck, and don't be a stranger! 👋

👷Keeping it in the Family👷‍♀️

One thing we've always appreciated at Nairn Construction is the strong sense of community within our team.

Over the years, we've welcomed three father-and-son teams into the business, one mother-and-daughter team, as well as one partner team who decided to join us too. It's always great to see family members choosing to work alongside those who are already here.

For us, it reflects the positive relationships built on site and across the company. Construction is all about people, and we're greatful to have a team that supports one another and enjoys being a part of what we do.

We're proud of the family atmosphere that has grown naturally over the years and are incredibly thankful to everyone who contributes to making Nairn Construction a great place to work.

Here's to the families who are a part of our journey and the team spirit that brings us all together. 🧡💙

💙Men's Health Week | 15-21 June

When we talk about health, it's easy to focus on the physical - but mental and physical health are more connected than most people realise.

The demands of everyday life can mean we push on without stopping to check in with ourselves or the people around us. It's okay to slow down. It's okay to ask for help. And it's okay to not have everything figured out.

Because looking after your mind is looking after your body. If you're not okay, that's okay to say. And if someone around you isn't quite themselves - a question and a bit of time can go a long way. 🤝
