Cross Works was pleased to take part in TUACE Global Forum 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, bringing together international professionals, academics and industry leaders to discuss the future of urban planning, architecture, construction and engineering.

Our CEO, Hakan Agca, took to the stage to share Cross Works’ experience in delivering large-scale urban development projects, drawing on our ongoing work on the New Tashkent Masterplan and the architectural design of key developments within the new city.

The forum provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas on sustainable urban growth, the opportunities and challenges facing Uzbekistan’s rapidly evolving cities, and the role of integrated design and technology in shaping the built environment.

Thank you to the organisers, fellow speakers and participants for the engaging discussions and exchange of perspectives. We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

Cross Works was pleased to join FROM SPACE TO PLACE yesterday at The Building Centre in London.

Organised by Space4Climate and the Digital Task Force for Planning, the event brought together professionals from Earth Observation, space technology and urban planning to explore how data and digital innovation can shape the future of our cities across the UK and internationally.

It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with industry peers, share Cross Works’ interdisciplinary design and technology capabilities, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

At Cross Works, we focus on bridging the gap between technology and the built environment - integrating urban analytics, digital twins and spatial intelligence into masterplanning and urban design to create better-informed, more resilient places.

Thank you to Dr Wei Yang OBE, Beth Greenaway, Prof. Michael Batty CBE and Mike Zehetmayr for the speeches and to the Building Centre team for hosting. We look forward to building on these conversations and exploring future collaborations.

Cross Works is pleased to be participating in TUACE Global Forum 2026, taking place on 15th – 16th October in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Our Founder & CEO, Hakan Agca, will be joining an international line-up of speakers on stage, to explore the future of urban planning, architecture, construction and engineering in Uzbekistan, and their role in shaping a greener, more sustainable built environment.

With our ongoing involvement in the New Tashkent Masterplan, one of the largest projects in the region, and our architectural designs for some of the key developments within it, we look forward to sharing our experience in delivering large-scale urban development projects and discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the cities of tomorrow.

We look forward to connecting with fellow professionals, academics and industry leaders in Tashkent.

Cross Works are wrapping up an inspiring week in Astana, Kazakhstan, with Senior Associate Director Matt Schalcher in attendance as part of the UK-Kazakhstan Infrastructure Trade Mission.

The ARCHICA Central Cities Forum offered insightful discussions on the future direction and potential of Central Asian cities, expertly curated by the ARCHICA International Architecture Congresses ARCHICA International Architecture Congresses team.

Discussions with Astana GenPlan and the Astana Centre for Urbanism provided a valuable perspective on how Astana's architecture, urban design and public realm are evolving within - and responding to - the framework of Kisho Kurokawa’s original “metabolist” masterplan of 1998.

The Inter-Governmental Commission and Business Forum offered an opportunity to learn more about the Alatau City Project’svision for a world-class city in the heart of Eurasia, as outlined by Alatau City Authority CEO, Alisher Abdykadyrov and Deputy CEO, Nina Yang.

Special thanks to Rassul Alibekuly and the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade team for facilitating such an engaging and insightful week.

We’re proud to share that the New Tashkent Exhibition Center has been selected as a finalist in the SHARE Architecture Awards 2026.

Designed as part of the wider vision for New Tashkent, the building brings together architecture, landscape and public space within a civic destination shaped around a clear geometric composition and a central garden.

It is great to see the project recognised alongside an international field of work, and we look forward to joining the SHARE Architecture Awards at the Barbican Centre in London this December (3rd/ 4th) to present our scheme to the jury.

A big thank you to the Cross Works design team led by Hakan Agca and driven forward by Fernando Sanchez, Mark Kovacs-Biro, Michal Pajakiewicz, Karolina Hejduk, Kisanet Goitom and Siméon Artamonov. Over an intense week in Libya we had the opportunity not only to present our vision for the future of Benghazi, but to experience the city, meet the people shaping its next chapter, and see first-hand the scale of transformation already underway.

From our exhibition stand at the Global Competitive Urban Planning Initiative – Benghazi event, Cross Works presented the project through a 30 m² masterplan display, 3D printed models, videos, a digital portal and interactive content, bringing together months of design, research and thinking into one space.

But some of the most valuable moments happened beyond the stand. Conversations with local stakeholders, visits across the city, discovering Benghazi’s coastline, urban fabric, culture and energy and food, and understanding the place behind the plan.

We were also delighted to be witness to the opening of the new university, and an incredible ceremony that features a speech from Marshall Khlaifa Haftar and Engineer Belgasam, as well as a number of entertainment acts. We're very grateful to have been invited.

Our team was also impressed by the efforts and ideas of various other competitors and consortia from the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkiye and beyond. We hope to work alongside them all, in realising this incredibly ambitious project, to mobilise a new generation of Libyan architects, designers, city-builders and more, to rebuild Benghazi for the 21st Century.

Such a memorable week in Eastern Libya, and we hope to return very soon.

Over an intense week in Libya we had the opportunity not only to present our vision for the future of Benghazi, but to experience the city, meet the people shaping its next chapter, and see first-hand the scale of transformation already underway.

From our exhibition stand at the Global Competitive Urban Planning Initiative – Benghazi event, Cross Works presented the project through a 30 m² masterplan display, 3D printed models, videos, a digital portal and interactive content, bringing together months of design, research and thinking into one space.

But some of the most valuable moments happened beyond the stand. Conversations with local stakeholders, visits across the city, discovering Benghazi’s coastline, urban fabric, culture and energy and food, and Our masterplan developed around 8 major concepts. It took a phased and polycentric approach that would look to create a new and revitalised ‘Old Town’ centre, removing industrial and port activities to other locations in the north and south, and ensuring that density, employment and commerce would be spread equitably across 18 character zones covering the full expanse of the city. The plan ensured that density was achieved with a diversity of predominantly low to mid-rise building and neighbourhood typologies; ensuring that the city’s urban and modest architectural character was respected and reflected in our guidelines.

The plan proposed new and sustainable approaches to energy; a first step to diversifying the economy and the country’s reliance away from crude oil exports, albeit in the long-term. Amongst our other practical ‘day 1’ ideas, we also proposed something visionary – land reclamation from the Mediterranean – which we called the ‘Archipelago’. A new tourism and commercial destination; essentially an extension of the Old Town, stretching several hundred metres into the sea. Bold, unique, and entirely realisable; albeit for future generations to enjoy.

Our team was also impressed by the efforts and ideas of various other competitors and consortia from the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkiye and beyond. We hope to work alongside them all, in realising this incredibly ambitious project, to mobilise a new generation of Libyan architects, designers, city-builders and more, to rebuild Benghazi for the 21st Century.

Such a memorable week in Eastern Libya, and we hope to return very soon.

What an event! Thank you to the FDRL (Fund for Development & Reconstruction of Libya) & the GCUPI-B for the invitation to take part in planning their future. 🙏

3 days of presentations and an incredible exhibition have just come to a close here in Benghazi.

Cross Works gave it everything; showcasing a conceptual vision for the future of the city in high definition. We presented a 30 square metre high-resolution plan of our proposal at 1:5000 scale complete with 3D prints, videos, a digital portal and a full  stand display built with our local partners, and welcomed visitors from the government, the local municipality, the university, developers, contractors, service providers, stakeholders and citizens of Benghazi and from across all of Libya.

We had the privilege of presenting our ideas to Engineer Belgasim Haftar himself and his team, and were delighted by their optimism and interest in what we put forward.

Libya is going through a transformation, and Benghazi in particular is at the centre of that. We look forward to returning and being a part of it.

That’s a wrap on an incredible week at LEAP in Riyadh. 🇸🇦

Cross Works has been on the ground throughout the week, meeting founders, investors, technology leaders and potential partners, while introducing more people to In-Tent, our property app now live and fully operational across KSA and the UK. 📲

It’s been a busy few days for Abdullah Alrasheed, making new connections, building relationships and opening conversations around the next stage of In-Tent’s growth.

Developed and fully self-funded by Cross Works and Cross Works Arabia, In-Tent is now positioned for rapid user acquisition, new partnerships and strategic investment as we continue to scale the platform. 📈
