A hosepipe ban doesn’t mean your garden has to suffer, but it does mean changing how you use water.
Depending on your local water company’s restrictions, you may be unable to use a hosepipe to water lawns and gardens, wash vehicles, clean patios or windows, fill pools and fountains, or run sprinklers and mains-fed irrigation systems.

The key is to use water smarter: prioritise plants that need it most, use a watering can where permitted, and water early in the morning or later in the evening to reduce evaporation.

Always check the exact restrictions published by your local water supplier, as exemptions and rules can vary by area.
