2 million Electric Vehicles in the UK!
But the headline number isn’t the real story...

OverĀ 55% of zero-emission vehicles are company-owned šŸ¢

That tells you everything about where this market is heading.

Since the launch of the electric car grant (up to Ā£3,750), more than 100,000 drivers have made the switch, driving a 10% surge in demand in just six months šŸ“ˆ

At the same time, the Department for Transport is investing £600M into charging infrastructure, building on 119,000+ public chargers already installed.

So this isn’t early adoption anymore, it’s acceleration šŸ“Š
OverĀ half of zero-emission vehicles are company-owned šŸš—

This isn’t just adoption, it’s a shift in how businesses operate šŸ’»

Fuel Price Fears Push Drivers Towards EVs āš”šŸš—

Rising fuel costs are changing how people choose their next vehicle. Recent data shows aĀ 36% spike in EV leasing enquiriesĀ as petrol and diesel prices continue to climb, pushing drivers to look for more predictable and cost-effective alternatives šŸ“ˆ

For many drivers and businesses, electric vehicles are no longer just about sustainability — they’re aboutĀ cost control, lower running costs, and future-proofingĀ against fuel price volatility šŸŒ„

This shift doesn’t just impact vehicles — it increases demand forĀ EV charging infrastructure in workplaces, schools, commercial premises, and public locations šŸ”Œ

As fuel prices rise, EV adoption rises.
And when EV adoption rises,Ā charging infrastructure becomes essential, not optional.

The transition to electric is accelerating — and businesses that prepare now will be ahead of the curve.

Yesterday we were on-site in Warrington supporting One Community Trust with the service and maintenance of their EV Charge Points ⚔

Keeping chargers operational isn’t just about compliance, it’s about reliability šŸŽÆ

With EV adoption continuing to rise, ongoing maintenance is becoming just as important as the initial installation. A well-maintained network means fewer outages, better user experience, and long-term cost savings šŸ”‹

Schools can currently access up to £2,500 per EV charging socketĀ through theĀ Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV)Ā grant scheme, but the voucher application must be submittedĀ before the 31st of MarchĀ to lock in this level of support. šŸ”’

If your school needs clarity on eligibility or next steps, get in touch today and we’ll handle the entire grant funding process on your behalf.

āš ļøĀ Schools:Ā Secure Ā£2,500Ā PerĀ EVĀ ChargerĀ BeforeĀ ItĀ Drops

ThereĀ areĀ nowĀ lessĀ than 2Ā weeksĀ leftĀ toĀ secureĀ upĀ to Ā£2,500Ā perĀ EVĀ chargingĀ socketĀ throughĀ theĀ Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV)Ā grant ā³

OneĀ keyĀ pointĀ manyĀ schoolsĀ don’tĀ realise:

The installation does NOT need to be completed before 31 March 🚨

WhatĀ mattersĀ isĀ securingĀ theĀ grantĀ voucherĀ approvalĀ beforeĀ theĀ deadline.Ā OnceĀ issued,Ā theĀ voucherĀ isĀ validĀ forĀ upĀ to 180Ā days,Ā givingĀ yourĀ schoolĀ plentyĀ ofĀ timeĀ toĀ planĀ andĀ completeĀ theĀ installation šŸ”Œ

However, after 31 March, the funding for state-funded education sites will drop from £2,500 to £2,000 per socket

ā—ForĀ schoolsĀ planningĀ EVĀ chargingĀ forĀ staff,Ā visitors,Ā orĀ futureĀ fleetĀ vehicles,Ā thisĀ couldĀ meanĀ losing Ā£500Ā perĀ charger

šŸ“ŒĀ TheĀ priorityĀ rightĀ nowĀ isĀ securingĀ theĀ voucher — notĀ rushingĀ theĀ installation.
If your school is considering EV charging, now is the moment to act while the higher funding level is still available ⚔

Fuel prices are climbing again — and the outlook isn’t encouraging āš ļø

According to insights reported byĀ Fleet NewsĀ and analysis from theĀ
RAC, disruption to global oil supply linked to the current Middle East conflict has pushed oilĀ above $100 per barrel for the first time since 2022

The impact is already being felt across the UK: šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

• Petrol has risenĀ 5p to 137.5p per litreĀ since 28 February
• Diesel has increasedĀ 9p to 151p per litreĀ in the same period

And the projections are concerning: āš ļø

• Petrol could soon reachĀ 150p per litre
• Diesel could approachĀ 180p per litre — a three-year high

For fleets, businesses, and organisations that rely on fuel vehicles, this highlights a recurring problem:Ā operating costs tied to volatile global oil markets.

Every geopolitical disruption, supply chain issue, or market shift directly impacts the cost of running petrol and diesel vehicles.

As fuel prices continue to fluctuate, the case for transitioning to EV infrastructure becomes stronger with every spike⚔
