After more than 50 years, it was time for a complete transformation.
What used to be an old room and kitchen has now been turned into two clean, comfortable relaxation rooms.
The property had serious issues: badly cracked walls, a damaged ceiling with a risk of collapse, uneven floors, and very old lead plumbing that also needed replacing.
After discussing everything with the owner, we agreed that the best solution was simple: strip everything back and start again properly.
The work included:
• Removing the old walls and ceiling back to the timber structure
• Levelling and strengthening the floor
• Replacing the old plumbing
• Installing new plasterboard
• Applying Multi-Finish plaster for a smooth and solid finish
• Bringing the rooms back to life with a professional paint finish
Old houses are never easy, but when the preparation is done properly, the final result speaks for itself.

Exterior window & masonry refresh completed by HMR Property Care.
This front window area needed preparation and repainting to bring it back to a cleaner, brighter and more presentable condition. The work included scraping and preparing the old surfaces, filling and making good where needed, sanding, painting the masonry surround and refreshing the window frame finish.
A simple but important improvement that makes the front of the property look much tidier and better maintained.

Hallway & staircase refurbishment completed by HMR Property Care.

This area needed a lot of preparation, with damaged walls, old surfaces, cracks, loose material and uneven patches. The work included surface preparation, scraping back damaged areas, filling, sanding, making good, painting walls and ceilings, and refreshing the woodwork for a cleaner, brighter finish.
The staircase and hallway have now been brought back to a much better standard, with a fresh white finish and a tidy, professional look.
